From March 23 to 28, 2026, the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group (ACG) conducted simultaneous operations that resulted in the arrest of eleven individuals with pending warrants of arrest for different cybercrime offenses.
Of those arrested, four are facing charges for violations of Articles 315 and 318 (Swindling/Estafa) or Article 310 (Qualified Theft) under the Revised Penal Code. Five individuals are charged with violations of Section 4(c)(4) (Cyber Libel) or Section 4(b)(1) (Computer-Related Forgery) under Republic Act No. 10175, otherwise known as the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.
One individual is charged with violation of Republic Act No. 12010 (Anti-Financial Account Scamming Act), while another is facing charges under Republic Act No. 8484 (Access Devices Regulation Act of 1998), as amended by Republic Act No. 11449, in relation to Republic Act No. 10175.

On March 24, 2026, at about 10:10 PM in Sto. Domingo, Ilocos Sur, operatives of the Ilocos Sur Provincial Cyber Response Team conducted an entrapment operation that led to the arrest of a 20-year-old man, alias "Aldrin," for grooming and exploiting children to engage in online sexual activities.
"Aldrin" is facing charges for violation of Section 4(a) and (m) of RA No. 11930 [Anti-Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Children (OSAEC) and Anti-Child Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Materials (CSAEM)], in relation to Section 6 of Republic Act 10175 (Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012).

On March 24, 2026, at about 9:15 PM in Pagsanjan, Laguna, operatives of the Laguna Provincial Cyber Response Team conducted an entrapment operation that led to the arrest of a 21-year-old woman, alias "Janna," for harassing and coercing a 24-year-old woman through a social media platform.
โJannaโ is facing charges for violations of Article 286 (Grave Coercion) of the Revised Penal Code, RA No. 11313 (Safe Spaces Act), and RA No. 9995 (Anti-Photo and Video Voyeurism Act of 2009), all in relation to Section 6 of RA 10175 (Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012).

On March 24, 2026, at about 4:00 PM in Gingoog City, Misamis Oriental, operatives of the Regional Anti-Cybercrime Unit 10 (RACU 10), in coordination with the City Social Welfare and Development Offices (CSWDO) of Gingoog City and the Department of Justice โ Regional Anti-Trafficking Task Force 10 (DOJ-RACETTF 10), conducted a rescue operation that led to the rescue of 2 minor victims, ages 9 and 14 years old, following a report of online sexual abuse and exploitation of children.
The minor victims were turned over to CSWDโGingoog City for appropriate intervention and assessment while documentation is being prepared against the suspect for filing of appropriate charges.

On March 23, 2026, at about 12:50PM in Mabalacat City, Pampanga, operatives of the Tarlac Police Cyber Response Team (PCRT) conducted an entrapment operation that led to the arrest of a 25-year-old man, alias "Gio," for harassing and coercing an 18-year-old woman through a social media platform.
โGioโ is facing charges for violations of Article 286 (Grave Coercion) of the Revised Penal Code and RA No. 9262 (Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act) and RA No. 9995 (Anti-Photo and Video Voyeurism Act of 2009), all in relation to Section 6 of RA No. 10175 (Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012).

The PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group (PNP ACG) has secured another batch of court convictions from various Regional Trial Courts nationwide against four individuals for violation of RA No. 12010 [Anti-Financial Account Scamming Act (AFASA)]. All convicted accused were meted penalties of imprisonment ranging from four (4) to five (5) years.
The four (4) accused were apprehended in separate entrapment operations conducted by different units of the PNP ACG for the illegal online sale of financial accounts.

Asueta, Acting Director of the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group, lauded the operatives for the court's conviction of their arrested individuals. โThe convictions of these online sellers of ATM cards show that cybercriminals will face the full force of the law. The PNP ACG remains committed to protecting the public from financial scams and ensuring that anyone who exploits digital platforms for illegal gain is held accountable,โ he said.

On March 31, 2026, personnel of the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group (ACG) โ Regional Anti-Cybercrime Unit 12 (RACU 12), under the supervision of PCOL Alvin M. Martin, Chief of RACU 12, continued the implementation of Project A.C.C.E.S.S. (Awareness through Cybercrime Education to the Students for a Safer online world) at the Southeast Asian Institute of Technology (SEAIT), Tupi, South Cotabato. A total of 1,300 college students from the first and second batches participated in the lecture.
Project A.C.C.E.S.S. is a school-based initiative of RACU 12 that aims to strengthen studentsโ awareness of cybercrime and equip them with the knowledge to practice responsible and secure use of online platforms.
Meanwhile, PBGEN Wilson C. Asueta, Acting Director of the PNP ACG, commended RACU 12 for the initiative and underscored its importance, stating, โThrough programs like Project A.C.C.E.S.S., we continue to equip our youth with the knowledge and vigilance needed to navigate the digital world safely. Gazzingan, Officer-in-Charge of the Northern District Anti-Cybercrime Team (NDACT), conducted a Cybercrime Awareness Lecture for Homeowners Associations, SPTA of the Elementary School, Barangay Peace and Order Committee, BADAC, BCPC, VAWC Desk, and barangay coordinators/leaders. The activity was held at Canumay West Events Place, Canumay West, Valenzuela City.
The lecture aimed to educate participants on cybersecurity, raising awareness of online threats and providing guidance on digital self-protection. The activity concluded with positive engagement and appreciation from the audience, indicating a clear understanding of the topics.
