𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐃𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐅𝐌𝐃) – 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐊𝐚𝐡𝐨𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐑𝐎-𝐋𝐆𝐔 𝐃𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐨 𝐝𝐞𝐥 𝐍𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐞 just wrapped up an incredibly productive and impactful week of environmental stewardship and community empowerment across the province!

Our team journeyed deep into the heart of Barangay Gupitan in Kapalong, bringing vital skills, resources, and support directly to our partner communities:

𝐒𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐤𝐚𝐲: Conducted a specialized training session to equip locals with sustainable forestry practices.

𝐒𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨 𝐍𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐧𝐠 & 𝐒𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨 𝐁𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐬: Held crucial community coordination meetings to align our goals for local forest protection.

𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭: We reinforced our partnership by distributing high-quality seedlings alongside a "Food for Work" initiative, ensuring our communities are supported while they help care for our environment.

To cap off this powerhouse week, Team Kahoy joined forces with 𝐎𝐏𝐋𝐀𝐍 𝐊𝐊𝐊 at 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐲 𝐊𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐩𝐮𝐧𝐚𝐧, 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐨 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲! We were thrilled to facilitate the distribution of 𝟓𝟎𝟎 𝐆𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐁𝐚𝐦𝐛𝐨𝐨 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝟓𝟎𝟎 𝐃𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐬𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 to the lovely people's of Davao del Norte.

All of these grassroots efforts are made possible through the visionary leadership of our Provincial Governor, Kuya Gov Edwin Jubahib, and 𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐞 "𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐠-𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐠" 𝐉𝐮𝐛𝐚𝐡𝐢𝐛.

Following yesterday’s productive IEC session, we hit the ground running for Day 2 of our community engagement.

Earlier today, our dedicated 𝐍𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐧, 𝐌𝐫. 𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐨 𝐆𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐨𝐠𝐨, led a hands-on demonstration for our beneficiaries. The focus was on the "how-to" of sustainable farming—specifically mastering proper spacing and precise planting techniques to ensure maximum growth and yield.

With the expert guidance and support of 𝐑𝐏𝐒𝐁 𝐊𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐧, our participants didn't just watch—they got their hands dirty and gained the practical skills needed to turn theory into a thriving reality.

Finally reached Sitio Kamingawan today! The journey was long, but the crisp mountain air and the beauty of Palma Gil made every kilometer worth it.

Today, 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐊𝐚𝐡𝐨𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐑𝐎-𝐋𝐆𝐔 𝐨𝐟 𝐃𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐨 𝐝𝐞𝐥 𝐍𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐞 successfully conducted an Information Education Campaign (IEC) at Sitio Kamingawan, Palma Gil, Talaingod, as part of our pre-implementation strategies.

We believe that the success of our environmental projects starts with well-informed tribal leaders and beneficiaries.

Our sessions covered:

𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 (𝐆𝐀𝐃):
Promoting inclusivity in environmental stewardship.

We were also joined by 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐐𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐨 𝐃𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐲 from 𝐃𝐄𝐍𝐑-𝐂𝐄𝐍𝐑𝐎 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐚, who provided a vital lecture on 𝐏.𝐃. 𝟕𝟎𝟓 (𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐝𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬).

Together, we are planting the seeds of knowledge for a greener and more law-abiding future! 🇵🇭

We kicked off our tree growing activity at 6:00 AM yesterday alongside the vibrant senior citizens of 𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐋𝐚𝐝𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐅𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐚 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐡, 𝐓𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐦 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲.

In celebration of the 𝟑𝟓𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐅𝐢𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐚, we are living out this year’s theme: "𝐓𝐨 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐬 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐲: 𝐉𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐋𝐚𝐝𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐅𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐚."

They planted a total of 50 Kamagong and 50 Palawan Cherry, where every seedling planted is a step forward in our shared journey of faith and stewardship.

​Last Thursday (April 3, 2026), the team conducted a Rapid Cave Assessment of Balite Cave at Brgy. Aundanao, and the experience was nothing short of breathtaking.

While the technical mission was to assess the cave's status, the highlight was the incredible sight of thousands of bats thriving within its chambers. Seeing these vital "𝐠𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐧𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭" in their natural habitat left everyone in awe of the vibrant biodiversity hidden beneath our feet.

​This successful activity was led by 𝐃𝐄𝐍𝐑-𝐂𝐄𝐍𝐑𝐎 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐨, demonstrating the power of collaboration in preserving our province's natural heritage.

A productive coordination meeting took place last April 21 at 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐲 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐀𝐬𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐃𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐨 𝐝𝐞𝐥 𝐍𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐞, as we gear up for the 2026 Community Tree Parks Project.

Success in environmental conservation starts with strong partnerships between the LGU and our local functionaries.

We’re also excited to welcome 𝐌𝐫. 𝐀𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐥 𝐃𝐮𝐥𝐠𝐮𝐢𝐦𝐞, 𝐂𝐃𝐀-𝐈, to the team! As the designated Project Leader, Arnel will be leading the charge in monitoring and facilitating our project milestones for the rest of the year.

A significant step for conservation took place yesterday at Big Liguid Islet, Brgy. Balet, as various agencies converged for a Rapid Cave Assessment. 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐊𝐚𝐡𝐨𝐲 of 𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐑𝐎-𝐋𝐆𝐔 𝐃𝐀𝐕𝐍𝐎𝐑 was proud to assist this multi-sectoral effort to document and protect the hidden natural wonders of the Island Garden City of Samal.

The activity was spearheaded by 𝐃𝐒𝐏𝐄𝐂𝐒, 𝐃𝐄𝐍𝐑-𝐂𝐄𝐍𝐑𝐎 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐨 and 𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐑𝐎 𝐃𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐨 𝐝𝐞𝐥 𝐍𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐞 the lead agency in our shared mission to preserve natural resources. Our role at PENRO-LGU focused on identifying and validating the surface area to determine the most suitable forest trees and fruit trees species for rehabilitating the open spaces above the cave system—ensuring a healthy ecosystem from the roots up.

Planted during the program's launching under the vision of 𝐆𝐨𝐯. 𝐄𝐝𝐰𝐢𝐧 "𝐊𝐮𝐲𝐚 𝐆𝐨𝐯" 𝐉𝐮𝐛𝐚𝐡𝐢𝐛, these trees are now providing shade and breathtaking scenery for every traveler. 🛣️
