As of May 25, 2026 | 8:46 AM, the pre-registration for Student Permit applicants on BOSS Project Caravan at Brgy Bincungan, Tagum City has already reached 274 registrants. Due to the limited slots allocated for the FREE Theoretical Driving Course (TDC), we are officially implementing a CUT-OFF and temporarily stopping the pre-registration for Student Permit applications.

We are truly overwhelmed and grateful for your support and interest in our caravan services. 💙

However, please be informed that the following services are still OPEN and NO CUT-OFF will be implemented:

MV Renewal with complete requirements (insurance & emission) , Unit are still subject for inspection

The LTO-Tagum District Office successfully conducted the 2-Days LTO-XI B.O.S.S. Project Outreach Caravan, through the leadership of LTO Assistant Secretary Markus V. Lacanilao and LTO-XI Regional Director Atty. Raphael V. Robillo, in partnership with the Local Government of Bayan ng New Corella Davao del Norte, held at the Municipal Gym of New Corella last May 22–23, 2026.

In line with the observance of Road Safety Awareness Month, aside from delivering accessible and convenient frontline transportation services , the activity also promoted responsible driving, traffic discipline, and public awareness on the importance of road safety in building safer roads and protecting lives.

The LTO services, spearheaded by the OIC Tagum Distict head Ms. Karen Mae D. Torollo, MPA recorded a grand total of transactions;

✅377 FREE- Theoretical Driving Course (TDC) certficates
✅377 Student Permit applications
✅15 Driver’s License renewal;
✅81 Motor Vehicle renewal transactions (78 motorcycles and 3 car light vehicles) and;
✅35 Motorcycle Plate released

Despite all the challenges and circumstances encountered throughout the activity, Team TagumDO SUCCESSFULLY accomplished the caravan smoothly, orderly, and efficiently through teamwork, dedication, and commitment to public service.

LTOXI through the visionary leadership of the Regional Director, ATTY ERNESTO RAPHAEL V. ROBILLO, fully supported by all District Heads & Division Chiefs in partnership with Davao Regional Medical Center (DRMC HEDMU) led by Dr. Bryan O. Dalid, Medical Center Chief II, the City Government of Tagum, Davao del Norte, National Agencies, Motorcycle Organizations, and all stakeholders joined hands in a meaningful observance of Road Safety & Injury Prevention Month on 18 May 2026 at the New City Hall Atrium, Tagum City — a celebration aimed at promoting responsible driving and protecting lives on our roads.

P.A.S.A.D.A. Project Unveiled – “Promoting Accessible and Sustainable Assistance for Drivers’ Advancement” rolled out its four essential road safety services:
✔️ FREE Theoretical Driving Course
✔️ Student Permit Issuance (353)
✔️ Drivers License Renewal (10)
✔️ Motor Vehicle Registration Renewal (6)
These services stood out as the highlights of the celebration, bringing essential LTO services closer to motorists and ensuring road safety education.

During the program, DRMC presented relevant road crash statistics, reporting a 5% reduction in road crash patient confinements based on official confinement records — a testament to strengthened safety advocacy and awareness.

DRMC also presented the Top 10 LGUs with Tagum City leading as #1 in reported road crash patient confinement cases, including fatalities, emphasizing the urgency for collective road safety action.

FREE giveaways including Practical Driving Course (PDC) Certifcates for codes A and A1 categories sponsored by St. Therese Driving School and standard helmets sponsored by LTO XI LTO Region XI Multipurpose Cooperative initiated by OIC District Head, MS KAREN MAE D. TOROLLO, LTO R-XI Tagum District Office were awarded to participants who correctly answered road safety questions — promoting knowledge, preparedness, and responsibility.

The celebration concluded with satisfied clients and motorists praising the services and enriched by road safety education focused on preventing road crashes and injuries.

In a landmark move, LTO XI submitted a proposal to DRMC toward an institutionalized ROAD SAFETY ADVOCACY Partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement — strengthening joint efforts for safer roads.

This endeavor aligns with the directives of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr. through DOTr Acting Secretary Giovanni Z. Lopez and Assistant Secretary Markus V. Lacanilao to intensify road safety measures nationwide, ensuring safer journeys for all drivers, riders, and road users.
