On 13 December 2025, the University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP) Tagum-Mabini Campus ROTC Unit successfully conducted the formal Presentation of Sponsors and Escorts (POSE), a time-honored military tradition that honors cadets for their dedication and responsibility as leaders while recognizing the guidance and support of their sponsors and escorts. It promotes unity and pride within the unit and reinforces the core military values of teamwork, service, and leadership development.
The ceremony commenced with the Arrival of Honors and the Entry of Troops. Accompanied by the ROTC Marching Band, the unit rendered the National Anthem and USeP Hymn, followed by a solemn invocation from ๐๐ ๐ญ ๐๐๐ฒ๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ซ๐ข๐ ๐ ๐๐ข๐ฌ๐๐ฒ๐ (๐๐๐ฌ) ๐๐.
Following the Reading of Orders by ๐๐๐ ๐๐ง๐๐ซ๐ข๐ ๐๐จ๐ง๐ง ๐ ๐๐ง๐๐ซ๐ข๐ง๐จ (๐๐ง๐) ๐๐, Chief Clerk, the ceremony proceeded to the Assumption of the Corps. In a significant display of institutional support, the Corps of Escorts was assumed by ๐๐ซ ๐๐๐ญ ๐ ๐๐๐ซ๐ข๐๐ ๐, ๐๐ฌ๐ฌ๐จ๐๐ข๐๐ญ๐ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐๐๐ฌ๐ฌ๐จ๐ซ & ๐๐๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ฎ๐ฌ ๐๐ฎ๐ซ๐ฌ๐, while the Corps of Sponsors was assumed by ๐๐ซ ๐๐ฅ๐๐จ๐ง๐จ๐ซ ๐ ๐๐ฎ๐๐๐ง, Dean of CTET.
The unit was deeply honored by the presence of ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ (๐๐๐) ๐๐, Director of the 1102nd CDC, 11RCDG, whose attendance added prestige to the occasion and served as an inspiration to the corps. The program continued with welcome remarks from ๐๐ซ ๐๐ซ๐ฏ๐ข๐ง ๐๐จ๐ฒ ๐ ๐๐๐ญ๐ฎ๐๐๐๐ข๐ง๐ , NSTP/ROTC Coordinator, followed by the introduction of the Guest of Honor and Speaker by ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐. ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ (๐๐๐) ๐๐, Commandant.
The event was highlighted by the keynote address of ๐๐ซ ๐๐ก๐ข๐ซ๐ฅ๐๐ฒ ๐ ๐๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ๐๐ง๐ฎ๐๐ฏ๐ , Chancellor of USeP Tagum-Mabini Campus. In her message to the Basic and Advance ROTC Cadets, she emphasized the values of dedication and the symbiotic relationship between academic excellence and military discipline. The morning rites concluded with the mass singing of "Pilipinas Kong Mahal" and a traditional Pass and Review, symbolizing the unit's readiness and respect for the chain of command.
The event was a powerful display of community, made possible by the unwavering commitment of the USeP Faculty and Staff, the ROTC Training Staff, and the dedicated Parents and Guardians. Their presence served as a testament to the collective effort required to mold the next generation of Filipino leaders.
From the Parade Ground to the Gymnasium, the focus of the cadets shifted from ceremonial grace to academic rigor. By 1330H, the same discipline displayed under the sun was brought into the USeP Physical Education and Cultural Center (PECC) as the cadets sat for their ROTC Final Examination. Facilitated by TSg Andrie Bonn B Andrino (Inf) PA, this academic requirement served as the final challenge of the day, with all activities successfully concluding at 1600H.
As the "Pledge of Loyalty" states: "If you work for a man, in heavenโs name, work for him, speak well of him, and stand by the institution that he represents". Todayโs events were a testament to that loyaltyโaffirming that a USeP cadet is prepared for both the honors of the field and the challenges of the classroom.
Congratulations to the Corps for completing the semester!
