𝗧𝗮𝗻-𝗮𝘄𝗮 𝗹 Gipresenta sa mga partisipante ang ilang mga nakolektang datos gikan sa tulo ka adlaw nga “Walk the Fault” activity sa probinsiya. Gihimo ang maong presentasyon atol sa katapusang adlaw sa aktibidad didto sa Royal House Hotel & Dormitel, Tagum City.

Ang maong mga datos naglangkob sa tulo ka nailang fault lines sa Davao del Norte: ang Colosas-Talaingod Fault, Gupitan Fault, ug ang West Compostela Valley Fault.

Nagsilbi isip mga panelist sila Provincial Planning and Development Officer Engr. Maria Hazel Zafra, Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer Glenda Delideli, Assistant PG-Head Lanny Guinit, Jessie Berangberang ang representante ni Board Member Hon. Al David Uy ug Arsenio Canillada III sa Provincial Engineering Office.

Tumong sa maong lakang nga matino ang mga posibleng risgo aron mahatagan dayon og dinalian nga aksyon ug preventive measures pinaagi sa pagmugna og mga ordinansa nga makatabang sa mga apektadong residente.

UBE IS THE NEW MATCHA???🤩

Mahigit 200 klase ng ube—mula dark purple hanggang white at rainbow-colored varieties—ang inaalagaan sa germplasm collection ng Philippine Root Crops Research and Training Center, kung saan pinag-aaralan din kung paano naaapektuhan ng soil nutrients ang kalidad at natural na kulay ng ube.

Sa suporta ng DOST-PCAARRD, layunin ng pag-aaral ng team ni Prof. Marlon D. Tambis na mapataas ang produksyon ng quality dark purple ube sa Bohol gamit ang improved planting materials, S&T-based farming practices, at year-round planting strategies upang mas mapalakas ang industriya at kita ng mga magsasaka.

ICYMI: Following the Walk-the-Fault activity, DOST-PHIVOLCS facilitated a writeshop with the Province of Davao del Norte and the municipalities/city of New Corella, Asuncion, Santo Tomas, Kapalong, Talaingod, and Panabo City, which are transected by active faults.

Held on May 21–22 at Royal House Hotel and Dormitel in Tagum City, the activity aimed to consolidate information gathered during the two-day Walk-the-Fault activity, facilitate report writing and presentation of results, and discuss the plans and initiatives of the provincial and local government units.
