March 25, 2026 marks a groundbreaking and transformative milestone as the Land Transportation Office (LTO) E-PATROL on Wheels 2 – Region XI, under the leadership of Regional Director Atty. Ernesto Raphael V. Robillo, OIC Assistant Regional Director Joel T. Mandaya, Chief of Administrative Division, Malou P. Narca, CPA.

and LTO E-PATROL on Wheels 2 OIC Zuriel C. Paciente, paid a courtesy call to Municipal Mayor Roland Dejesica of the Municipality of Sto. Tomas, Davao del Norte.

This meaningful engagement, made possible through the support and alignment of our private proponent, Maria Trinity S. Hingpit, underscores a strengthened partnership and a shared commitment to enhancing public service delivery and advancing road safety initiatives across the region.

Anchored on the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., through the leadership of Department of Transportation Secretary Giovanni Z. Lopez and LTO Assistant Secretary Markus V. With this year's tagline, "Switch On Habits for Earth," the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) Philippines, together with the Department of Transportation - Philippines and the Land Transportation Office - Philippines, invites everyone to participate in SWITCHING OFF their establishment and/or residential lights to give an hour for Earth, spending 60 minutes doing something - anything - positive for the planet.

Earth Hour 2025 Highlights:

• The Philippines ranked first place in the Global Hour Bank with a total number of 1,377,368 hours logged.

• The Department of Energey (DOE) reported a 161.98-megawatt (MW) reduction in electricity use during the one-hour switch-off. This is a 22.6% increase from the 132.11 MW load drop recorded in 2024.

• 28 National Government Agency Partners

IN PHOTOS | LTO E-PATROL On Wheels ‘2’ Conducts Successful 4-Day Service Caravan.

The LTO E-PATROL On Wheels ‘2’ successfully conducted a four-day Service Caravan at ER Mall Pantukan, Davao de Oro from March 16 to 19, 2026, bringing essential frontline services closer to the community.

The initiative provided convenient and accessible assistance, enabling residents to avail of LTO services without the need to travel far. It underscores the agency’s commitment to efficiency, accessibility, and public satisfaction.

In line with this commitment, the LTO Region XI – E-PATROL On Wheels ‘2’, under the leadership of OIC Zuriel C. Paciente, also conducted a successful outreach caravan at ER Mall, Barangay Kingking, Pantukan, Davao de Oro. With the support of Municipal Mayor Oliver Ceniza and the Barangay Kingking Council, the activity further expanded the reach of LTO services at the grassroots level.

The activity was conducted in partnership with Med Clinic and Emission Testing Center – San Roque Retroville, as well as St. Joseph Cupertino Driving School, ensuring the delivery of comprehensive and efficient services to the public.

Through these outreach initiatives, the office reaffirmed its dedication to responsive and people-centered service. By continuously extending its services to local communities, LTO E-PATROL On Wheels ‘2’ strengthens its mission of delivering quality public service while fostering stronger connections with the people it serves.

Guided by the vision of Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and aligned with the policy directions of DOTr Secretary Giovanni Z. Lopez and LTO Assistant Secretary Markus Lacanilao, the initiative was further strengthened under the leadership of LTO Regional Director Atty. Ernesto Raphael V. Robillo, OIC Assistant Regional Director Joel T. Mandaya, and Chief of Administrative Division Malou P. Narca.

Isang insidente na nai-record sa pamamagitan ng dashcam kung saan isang skyway patrol rider ang nag-counterflow sa Northbound ng South Luzon Expressway (SLEX). Ang nasabing viral video ay kumalat na ngayon sa mga social media at naging paksa ng pag-uusap ng publiko.

Bilang bahagi ng imbestigasyon na ginagawa ng LTO Intelligence and Investigation Division (IID) at dahil hindi malinaw ang plate number ng patrol sa nasabing video, pormal na nagrequest ang IID sa SLEX Manila Toll Expressway Systems, Inc. na matulungan nila ang ahensya sa pagtukoy sa pagkakakilanlan ng motorsiklo at sa rider nito na sangkot sa nasabing insidente. Hiniling din ng IID na ma-access ang lahat ng available na CCTV o traffic monitoring footage mula sa lahat ng anggulo ng kamera na maaaring nakuhanan ang direksyon ng patrol bago, habang, at kaagad pagkatapos ng insidente.

Ipinahayag ni LTO Chief, Assistant Secretary Markus V. Lacanilao, na kapag matukoy ang rehistradong may-ari at driver ng sangkot sa insidente ay agad sila iisyuhan ng Show Cause Order ng LTO at sila ay aatasan na magsumite ng verified comment/explanation ukol sa nangyari at kailangan nila ipaliwanag ang kanilang panig kung bakit hindi sila dapat managot sa mga paglabag sa batas trapiko na naaayon sa kanilang ginawa.

Bukod pa rito, binigyang-diin din ni Asec Lacanilao na walang sinumang indibidwal o tauhan ng anumang ahensya ang makakalusot sa mga batas trapiko. "Ang kaligtasan sa kalsada ay responsibilidad ng lahat ng gumagamit ng daanan, kabilang na ang mga naatasan na magpatupad ng kaayusan sa kalsada. Kung sakaling mapatunayang may paglabag na naganap, ipapakita natin na ang LTO ay patas ngunit mahigpit sa pagpapatupad ng mga regulasyon upang mapanatili ang ligtas na paglalakbay para sa lahat ng motorista," aniya.
