VVCES recently hosted a heartwarming orientation to ignite young minds through reading, attended by enthusiastic parents and eager learners. Dr. Arlene C. Pamitalan, the School Principal IV, warmly welcomed everyone with a message about the joy and power of books. She emphasized how reading builds confidence and opens doors to new worlds, setting a joyful tone for the event.

The program was brought to life by Mrs. Dolores M. Palmero, the Reading Coordinator, along with Mrs. Jeanril A. Mangaron, Pres. Krystal Joy M. Consina and Mrs. Liza P. Daipan. They shared creative ways to make reading an adventure, using stories, games, and interactive activities. The room buzzed with energy as children laughed and raised hands eagerly, while parents nodded in agreement, proof that when families and schools collaborate, learning becomes a shared celebration.

This initiative shines a light on how communities can nurture young readers. By blending education with excitement, VVCES isnโ€™t just teaching kids to read, itโ€™s helping them fall in love with stories. Free lunch and snacks will be given to the Kindergarten and Grade 1 learners sponsored by the LGU.

Dr. Joy Jade E. Relosโ€™s journey as the School Principal of Visayan Village Central Elementary School was a testament to her unwavering dedication and transformative vision. She led with empathy, prioritizing both student growth and teacher support, creating a school environment where every voice mattered. Her daily presence, whether mentoring teachers or cheering at sports events, fostered a sense of belonging that made the school feel like a second home to students and staff alike.

One of the most touching tributes to her impact came from Karl Galupan, an alumna who credited Dr. Relos for shaping his basketball career. โ€œMaโ€™am Joy saw potential in me even when I doubted myself,โ€ Karl shared. โ€œShe encouraged me to balance academics and sports, teaching me discipline and resilience that carried me through tough games and life challenges.โ€ Her belief in his dreams gave him the confidence to pursue excellence, proving that her influence extended far beyond the classroom.

As the narrator of this story, Thyia reflects on Dr. Relosโ€™s legacy with deep gratitude. Thyiaโ€™s reenactment capture how Dr. Relosโ€™s spirit continues to resonate in the hearts of those she served.

As Maโ€™am Joy transitions to her new role, the entire VVCES community celebrates her contributions while wishing her continued success. Her legacy of compassion, innovation, and unwavering support will remain a guiding light for Visayan Village Central Elementary School.

Though she leaves a void, her impact lives on in every student she inspired, every teacher she mentored, and every memory she helped create. Thank you, Dr. Relos, for being a beacon of hope and a true leader.

Thank you and we love you, Maโ€™am Joy!
