Rizal Elementary School Celebrates 54th Closing Exercises; 141 Graduates Urged to Lead with Character
TAGUM CITY, Philippines — On March 30, 2026, the Tagum City Historical and Cultural Theatre was filled with pride as Rizal Elementary School held its 54th Closing Exercises. A total of 141 graduates marked the completion of their primary education under the theme:
“Filipino Graduates: Prepared to Lead with Competence and Character.”
The R.E.S. Compass for Success
The message of Schools Division Superintendent Alona C. Uy, CESO V, delivered by Ricardo C. Remoreras, PSDS, introduced the R.E.S. framework as a guide for the graduates' transition to high school:
R – Respect: Upholding dignity and kindness as foundational values in every interaction.
E – Excellence: Striving for one’s best through growth and learning, rather than the pressure of "perfection."
S – Service-Centered: Defining success by the ability to give back and help others achieve their dreams.
Building Integrity and Competence
Guest Speaker Neijan Ysette B. Yamota, LPT, MAED, reinforced this vision, challenging the Rizalians to become leaders who embody both competence and integrity—mga lider na may kakayanin at mabuting pagkatao.
She reminded the graduates that even the simplest lessons play a vital role in shaping a person of character.
Ready for the Future: Padayon
As the 54th batch moves forward, the ceremony served as a reminder that they leave with more than just diplomas. Encouraged to continue—to keep moving forward with faith—the 141 newly minted alumni are prepared to enter high school with a commitment to love, humility, and service to their community.

As we reach the end of another meaningful school year, we pause and reflect on the journey we have taken together as one school community. This year has been filled with growth, achievements, and countless learning experiences that helped shape our learners into stronger, wiser, and more capable individuals.
It was not always easy. We faced challenges brought by calamities, from earthquakes to floods and even landslides. Yet in the midst of these trials, we witnessed something powerful: our collective strength and resilience. Together, we rose above every challenge and continued moving forward.
All these experiences have taught us valuable lessons: to remain courageous in the face of difficulties,
to support one another, and to celebrate every milestone no matter how big or small.
To our dear learners, congratulations on completing another chapter of your school life. Your dedication, perseverance, and determination carried you through every lesson, project, and activity. May the knowledge, skills, and values you gained guide you as you move toward new opportunities.
To our teachers, thank you for your unwavering commitment and passion for teaching. Your patience, hard work, and genuine care for our learners continue to shape minds and inspire hearts. The impact you create in the lives of our students will last far beyond the classroom.
To our parents and guardians, our heartfelt gratitude for your trust, patience, and constant support. Your guidance and encouragement at home have been essential in helping our learners succeed and grow.
To our education leaders, personnel, and stakeholders whose dedication and cooperation ensured that learning continued despite the many challenges we faced, thank you for helping keep the momentum.
As we close this school year, let us celebrate what we have accomplished together. Let us continue working hand in hand in nurturing responsible, resilient, and empowered learners who will make a positive difference in our community and in the world.
Congratulations to everyone for a successful school year.
