Congratulations to the pride of Island Garden City of Samal, Ernie Gawilan for securing a Gold Medal on the recently concluded 2025 ASEAN Paragames Thailand.

Gawilan, with a time of 5:02.39 clutched the top spot for the 400m Freestyle S7 category.

Two remarkable athletes rooted from the Province of Davao del Norte made their marks during the 33rd SEA Games held in Thailand last December 9-20, 2025.

Shieldannah Sabio, from Tagum City, bagged 3 Bronze Medals in Rhythmic Gymnastics and Russel Je Ricaforte, from The Island Garden City of Samal bought 1 Bronze Medal in Men's Discus Throw.

PROVINCIAL YOUTH ADVISORY COUNCIL 2025 2ND SEMESTRAL MEETING 📢📢📢

The Provincial Youth Development Advisory Council in cooperation with The Sangguniang Kabataan Provincial Federation- DavNor held it's 2nd Semestral PYAC Meeting with several council members present to discuss the several issues facing the Dabaonon Youth.

📍Formuation Workshop for Provincial Youth Development Plan 2026-2028

The Provincial Government of Davao del Norte, through the Provincial Sports and Youth Development Office (PSYDO), in partnership with the Sangguniang Kabataan Provincial Federation Office (SKPFO) conducted the Formulation Workshop for the Provincial Youth Development Plan (PYDP) 2026–2028, held at Hills View Mountain Villa, Brgy. Datu Salumay, Marilog District, along the Bukidnon–Davao Road.

This strategic planning workshop brought together the Provincial Youth Development Council (PYDC) and the Sangguniang Kabataan City/Municipal Federation Presidents, with the support of the Local Youth Development Officers (LYDOs). The activity was also strengthened by the guidance and technical assistance of the National Youth Commission – Davao Region, headed by Mr. MayJee De La Cruz, RSW.

Through collective insights, shared experiences, and collaborative discussions, the workshop successfully crafted priority directions and youth-centered strategies that will guide Davao del Norte’s youth development agenda for the next three years.

Together, we continue to build a stronger, more empowered, and future-ready youth sector.
