BOYS AND GIRLS WEEK 2026

The Local Government Unit of Talisay, through the Local Youth Development Office (LYDO), in partnership with the Sangguniang Kabataan Federation of Talisay, proudly recognizes the successful conduct of Boys and Girls Week 2026.

The activity provided the elected youth officials with meaningful opportunities to engage in local governance and public service. The newly elected officials were formally introduced following the Flag Ceremony and were given the opportunity to visit various government offices in the Municipality of Talisay to gain a deeper understanding of their respective functions and services.

As part of the activity, the youth officials also served as counterparts of the Sangguniang Bayan Members, providing them with valuable exposure to the responsibilities, processes, and importance of local legislative leadership.

The afternoon session was enriched by the valuable insights of Ms. Sarah Jane F. Baldorado, Municipal Accountant and former Youth Development Officer, and Ms. Jelaine A. Abante, Municipal Tourism Officer, who served as resource speakers. Their knowledge and experiences contributed to the development of the participants’ leadership, civic awareness, and appreciation of public service.

The Local Youth Development Office extends its sincere gratitude to the following schools for their active participation and for providing representatives for this year’s Boys and Girls Week:

- San Francisco National High School
- Gonzales Ascutia High School
- Lazaro Cabezudo High School
- St. Francis Parochial School

Your support and cooperation are deeply appreciated in providing the youth of Talisay with opportunities for leadership development and meaningful participation in local government.

Special appreciation is extended to Municipal Mayor Donovan A. Mancenido for his unwavering support and commitment to youth empowerment and development. His continued support plays an important role in creating opportunities that allow the youth to learn, participate, and lead.

𝗕𝗥𝗔𝗩𝗢, 𝗧𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗦𝗔𝗬 𝗗𝗘𝗕𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗦!

Taking on the nation's best debate teams in your very first formal tournament takes raw courage, grit, and unwavering passion.

At the recent 𝟏𝐬𝐭 𝐕𝐢𝐧𝐳𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐂𝐮𝐩 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝟐𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐭 𝐊𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐚𝐧 𝐃𝐞𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩, our four fearless Talisaynon youth went head-to-head with elite institutions like UP, SLU, ADNU, BU, and top schools across Camarines Norte.

Despite having only a short period to train and zero prior formal tournament experience, they fearlessly tackled every motion, argued with grace, and completed every single round with flying colors!

Special recognition goes to our former Ms. Talisay 2024, 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐉𝐨𝐲 𝐂𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐨, who shattered expectations and earned the title of 𝟒𝐭𝐡 𝐁𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐫! 🏆

Huge congratulations as well to our formidable debaters, Brgy. Calintaan SK Chairman, 𝐌𝐫. 𝐑𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐥 𝐍𝐚𝐜𝐩𝐢𝐥 and 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐬𝐞𝐚 𝐑𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐧, alongside with our reigning Ms. Talisay 2025 𝐁𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐲 𝐀𝐥𝐚𝐯𝐚, who represented us as an Adjudicator!
