Threading a successful career in public education; HRD Conducts Induction Program for Beginning Teachers ( IPBT)
In order to inculcate the value of integrity, professionalism and quality public service to beginning teachers, SDO Tanauan City through the Human Resource Development Section (HRDS) conducted orientation on the Induction Program for Beginning Teachers (IPBT) for Zero to Three years in service last September 15, 2023 at Tanauan South Central School, Tanauan City.
ENTRANCE TO QUALITY PUBLIC SERVICE
In connection to DepEd Order No. 43, s. 2017 entilted Teacher Induction Program the 105 Zero to Three years in service teachers were called to participate the program. This was done for them to acquire necessary competencies to deliver quality public service. The said event was also aligned with Civil Service Memorandum Circular No. 24, s. 2016 also known as the PRIME-HRM. The said activity is the beginning of the course specifically designed to new entrants in the public school system.
In addition, the TIP framework comprises three components: The ‘Curriculum’ inducts teachers into DepEd, builds their KSAVs, and supports career advancement. The ‘Delivery’ provides teachers with a multi-modal delivery platform that supports the curriculum. The ‘Ecosystem’ enables harmonized and dynamic cooperation within linkages and resources.
COMPREHENSIVE YET LIBERATING INFO SHARING
The said program comprised of information sharing from various educational leaders and experts in different fields. Some of the topics that were discussed are Administrative matters by Mr. Jhun-Jhun D. Lucero-Administrative Officer V, Human Resource Matters by Ms. Nenette C. Sumague-Administrative Officer IV-HRMO, Ethical Standards for Teachers by Atty. Roxanne Laqui and Child Protection and Learning and Development by Mr. Edgar Marshall Brinas- SEPS for Human Resource Development.
Moreover, various concerns were directly addressed by the different experts and they arrived with conceptual answers to the points raised by the participants.
OVERWHELMING SUPPORT and ENCOURAGEMENT
SDO Tanauan City’s top management showed their support during the conduct of the said activity. Inspirational messages centered on commitment and passion for the profession were highligted by all the messages given by Dr. Lourdes T. Bermudez, CESO IV- Schools Division Superintendent, Dr. Rhina O. Ilagan-Assistant Schools Division Superintendent and Dr. Maximo L. Custodio Jr.-SGOD Chief.

HOTS HOTS! SOLO SOLO! echoed the hall as teacher participants chant during the four-day Higher Order Thinking Skills-Professional Learning Package (HOTS-PLP) Division Roll-out, August 22-25, 2023 at Leonida's Resort and Restaurant, Talisay, Batangas.
WARM WELCOME
Filled with excitement and euphoria, City Schools Division of Tanauan-Human Resource Development Section welcomed the 48 EnSciMa teachers from 16 participating schools together with members of the Program Management Team (PMT) for the four-day training.
Opening program highlighted the introduction and overview of HOTS-PLP as pivotal in making 21st century learners equipped with sound knowledge and critical thinking skills.
TOWARDS QUALITY PEDAGOGICAL AIM
Incorporating the SOLO framework in assessing learner's cognitive level and providing learning opportunities for them to develop HOTS, SDO Tanauan City trained the teacher participants to improved pedagogical competence thereby improving learner's performance in large-scale assessment by enhancing Higher Order Thinking Skills.
WEALTH OF KNOWLEDGE
The said NEAP PD Program was facilitated with competent school leaders and Master Teachers from SDO Tanauan City who were chosen for their expertise and pedagogical knowledge in English, Science and Mathematics (ENSciMa).
Prior to the conduct of the said division roll-out, facilitators attended the Regional Training of Trainers conducted by regional HRDD.
In addition, the whole training package is composed of seven sessions which all deepen their understanding of HOTS and SOLO framework and facilitated through writeshop-discussion, lectures, analysis and WAP.
COMMITMENT and EXCELLENCE
Encouraging every participants to be the agent of HOTS in their respective schools by developing critical thinking and sound decision making, SDS Lourdes T. Bermudez, CESO VI posed them a challenge during her inspirational message. Accepting the challenge each participants pledged their commitment in improving HOTS for every " Batang Tanaueño".
A RESOUNDING SUCCESS
The Division roll-out was successfully conducted evident by the daily evaluation result of 4.00 conducted by M&E focal person Mr. Xander Castillo and validated by the feedback of the regional validation of Ms. Nadina Gaton Regional Education Program Supervisor for Human Resource Development.

Prep-up for HOTS-PLP Regional Training of Trainers (RTOT)
Human Resource Development Section called for a meeting of 12 RTOT participants which is composed of Principals and Master Teachers of English, Science and Mathematics (ENSCIMA) from different schools in SDO Tanauan City
The said meeting is a preparation and briefing of salient points in the upcoming Regional Training of Trainers this August 15-19, 2023 at Red Hotel, Cubao, Quezon City. In addition, it will also serve as preliminary preparation for the upcoming Division Roll-out this August 22-25, 2023.

Capacitating 21st Century teachers of SDO Tanauan City in Digitized Learning and Standing against Misinformation,Disinformation and Mal-Information, Human Resource Development Section provided technical support in the conduct of Division Training Workshop on the Development of Learning Resources and Assessment Tools in Teaching Social Studies in New Normal last August 9-11 at Tanauan Institute.
The 3 day AP teacher's training anchored on MATATAG Agenda was spearheaded by Mrs. Nerissa Austria- EPS for Araling Panlipunan and attended by AP teachers from different schools within the Division and a joint project between the SDO Tanauan City and The City Government of Tanauan and was funded thru SEF.
The training ensured safe, Digitized and quality assessment tools that will benefit every " "Batang Tanaueño"

Gearing up towards Gender Responsive and Gender Sensitive Organization, SDO Tanauan through its Human Resource Development Section conducted it's 2023 Gender and Development Training titled: Ensuring Safe Space and Gender Sensitive Workplace through a Functional GAD Focal Point System (GFPS)last August 4-5,2023. The two-day training harmonized not only gender related topics but also camaraderie among 80 SDO personnel at Leonidas Resort and Restaurant, Talisay, Batangas.
