🕊️ PDRRMO-SDS JOINS PROVINCIAL CIA LAUNCHING 🤝

The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office – Surigao del Sur (PDRRMO-SDS) took part in the Provincial CIA Launching held on October 4, 2026, at Barangay Patong-Patong, Madrid, Surigao del Sur, with the theme:

“Magkahiusa Alang sa Kalinaw ug Kalambuan sa Atong Kalingban.”

The activity underscores the importance of unity, collaboration, and collective responsibility in promoting peace, development, and resilient communities. PDRRMO-SDS stands committed to supporting initiatives that strengthen community preparedness, safety, and resilience through meaningful partnerships with stakeholders and communities.

Through a whole-of-community approach, we continue to work together toward a peaceful, safe, resilient, and progressive Surigao del Sur.

Moderate to occasionally heavy rainshowers with lightning and strong winds are expected over (Olutanga, Talusan, Mabuhay, Alicia, Payao, Imelda, Malangas), (Margosatubig, VincenzoA.Sagun, Dimataling, Pitogo, Tabina, Lapuyan), (CityOfBislig, Tagbina, Hinatuan, Barobo, Lingig), (Rosario, Bunawan, SanFrancisco, Trento), (Laak, Maco, Mabini, Pantukan, Maragusan), , (CityOfTagum, Carmen, CityOfPanabo, CityOfSamal), (Banaybanay, Lupon, SanIsidro, GovernorGeneroso, Manay and Caraga) within the next 1-2 hours.

The above conditions are being experienced in (CityOfMati and Tarragona) which may persist within 1-2 hours and may affect nearby areas.

All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards which include flash floods and landslides.
