The City Government of Tandag, headed by Mayor Roxanne Pimentel, through the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) – PWD and Senior Citizens Welfare Program continues its commitment in promoting accessibility, dignity, and improved quality of life through the provision of assistive devices such as wheelchairs, canes, crutches, and walkers for Persons with Disabilities and Senior Citizens.

These assistive devices are more than just equipment — they are instruments of hope, independence, mobility, and empowerment for our beneficiaries. ❤️

Yesterday, we provided a wheelchair to former Tandag Councilor Pascual “Jun” Palma through the coordination of the SP Members of Tandag — Hon. Sarie Dumagan, Hon. Kharin Momo, and Hon. Rhaniette Tan.

𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐒 𝐑𝐄𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐄: The National Commission of Senior Citizens (NCSC) issues public advisory reminding the public, government agencies, and private establishments to 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝗜𝗗 (𝗡𝗦𝗖𝗜𝗗) presented by Filipino senior citizens as a 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝗳 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀.

Pursuant to NCSC Public Advisory No. 1, Series of 2026, the digital NSCID that is accessible through the eGovPH App may be used by senior citizens to:

☑️ Avail of the 20% discount and VAT exemption on medicines, food, transportation, and other covered goods and services;
☑️ Access government services, assistance programs, benefits, and priority accommodations in public and private establishments;
☑️ Use for banking, financial, and identity verification transactions, including account opening, loan applications, and benefit claims; and
☑️ Present in transactions where a Senior Citizen ID is required or commonly accepted.

“We call on all institutions and establishments to accept the digital NSCID in accordance with the law, similar to other government IDs available through the eGovPH App,” said NCSC Chairperson and CEO Atty. Ma. Merceditas N. Gutierrez.
