Barangay Tamalagon officially embraced the Department of Healthโs PuroKalusugan Program as part of its continuing commitment to strengthen programs on Non-Communicable Diseases, Maternal Health, Nutrition, and other essential health services for the community. Through this initiative, the barangay aims to promote healthier lifestyles, improve access to healthcare, and empower every family toward better health and well-being.
The launching activity was made more meaningful through the active participation of the community, highlighted by the energetic Zumba fitness dance of the senior citizens. This commendable and sustainable wellness initiative of the barangay has already been practiced even before the implementation of PuroKalusugan. Their enthusiasm truly reflects Brgy. Tamalagonโs dedication to active living, healthy aging, and disease prevention.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mayor Gene T. Fuentes, the Rural Health Unit staff headed by Dr. Beancy Rose Yeban, and the DOH Human Resources for Health for their unwavering support and commitment to this health initiative.
A special appreciation to Brgy. Tamalagon headed by Hon. Eugene Goboy, and to Mrs. Sheena Mae Lim, DOH NDP in-charge, for warmly embracing the PuroKalusugan Program and for their collective effort in building a healthier Tamalagon.

Barangay Tondog, known for its proactive efforts and strong commitment to health even before the implementation of the PuroKalusugan, has long exemplified best practices in community healthcare through the provision of maintenance medications for hypertensive and diabetic patients, as well as maternal kits for pregnant women.
Building on these existing initiatives, Barangay Tondog officially launched its PuroKalusugan Program on May 12, 2026, further showcasing its dedication to providing accessible and equitable health services within the community. During the launching, various health services were provided to residents, including services under the Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) Program, maternal health services, nutrition services, dental services, TB/HIV screening, blood sugar testing, medical consultation, and provision of free medicines.
Together with the strong support of Mayor Gene Fuentes and the Municipal Health Office headed by Dr. Beancy Rose Yeban, the implementation of the PuroKalusugan program was given priority. The strong support of the barangay, headed by Hon. Henry Cuanico, greatly contributed to the success of the launching activity.
Special thanks are also extended to the midwife-in-charge, Mrs. Luisa Cuanico, for her dedication in ensuring that health services are effectively felt within the barangay. This initiative was also made possible through the invaluable assistance of the DOH Human Resources for Health (HRH) deployed in the municipality.

Barangay Panayakan officially launched its PuroKalusugan program, reflecting the municipalityโs continued commitment to strengthening accessible and quality primary healthcare services.
Residents were able to avail of various essential health services including medical consultations, blood pressure and blood sugar screening, immunization, nutrition, maternal and child health care, family planning, TB and anti-smoking services, HIV testing, and free medicines and vitamins.
The success of the activity was made possible through the leadership of Mayor Gene T. Fuentes and the dedication of the PCF staff headed by Dr. Beancy Rose A. Yeban, together with the DOH HRH staff. Special appreciation is likewise extended to the hardworking Midwives-in-Charge, Mrs. Nicole Prado and Ms. Jemabel Verano, alongside the dedicated BHWs and BNSs of Barangay Panayakan.
We also extend our gratitude to our dentist Dr. Ragnild Calison and Helen Keller International represented by Ms. Shylene Cadiao for their support and contribution to the success of the program. Lastly, a big appreciation to Panayakan Barangay Council headed by Hon. Monica Espaรฑola for their strong support and commitment to this health initiative.
Through PuroKalusugan, healthcare services continue to be strengthened and made more available at the barangay level.

The Tangalan Primary Care Facility would like to extend its heartfelt gratitude to the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), headed by Mr. Jude Joenel Tungala, for allocating five (5) units of two-way radios to our office under the MDRRM Fund. This initiative was made possible through the unwavering support and leadership of our Municipal Mayor, Hon. Gene Fuentes, in strengthening the municipalityโs healthcare and emergency response system.
This development significantly enhances the facilityโs capacity to deliver timely and efficient healthcare services while ensuring better communication and interconnectivity among healthcare workers across the different barangays of Tangalan. Barangay Baybay marked a significant and memorable occasion on April 22, 2026, by conducting the Mothers Congress 2026, themed โTransforming Mothers into Empowered Women,โ alongside the Teens Congress 2026, themed โPagiging Inaโy Hindi Madali; Kabataan, Huwag MagmadaliโKinabukasaโy Pahalagahan, Pangarap Isakatuparan.โ
A major highlight of this large-scale event was the official launching of the ๐๐ฑ๐ผ๐น๐ฒ๐๐ฐ๐ฒ๐ป๐-๐๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฑ๐น๐ ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐น๐๐ต ๐๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ถ๐น๐ถ๐๐ ๐ฎ๐ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐ฎ๐๐ฏ๐ฎ๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ป๐ด๐ฎ๐ ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐น๐๐ต ๐ฆ๐๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป (๐๐๐ฆ), proudly recognized as the ๐๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ผ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ณ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ถ๐น๐ถ๐๐ of its kind in the Municipality of Tangalan.
The success of this event was made possible through the invaluable contributions of distinguished experts: Ms. Maranatha B. Estrada-Vargas shared her expertise on the Safe Spaces Act and reproductive health, while Mr. Anton Iremedio and Ms. Psyche Mae V. Ruiz delivered insightful lectures on teen pregnancy and mental health. Mrs. Ma. Fe T. Rabe provided an inspirational message on empowerment, Mrs. Leah V. Tugade discussed maternal nutrition and postpartum depression, and Mrs. Nicole Andrea R. Prado highlighted the significance of the First 1,000 Days. Finally, Ms. Maria Kathrina Karla M. Meรฑez formally certified the Baybay BHS as an Adolescent-Friendly Health Facility Level I.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the Tangalan Primary Care Facility, headed by Dr. Beancy Rose Yeban, and to our partner NGO, represented by Ms. Shylene Belle Cadiao from Helen Keller International, for providing Multiple Micronutrient Supplementation and tokens for the mothers.
Our deepest appreciation is likewise extended to our dedicated Health Champion, Hon. Gene T. Fuentes, Municipal Mayor, whose unwavering support for health programs and inspiring message greatly motivated the participants. His commitment to public service is truly commendable.

This remarkable initiative was spearheaded by the Baybay Barangay Council under the leadership of Punong Barangay Auxil Antaran, in collaboration with the Sangguniang Kabataan Council headed by SK Chairman Ryl Feb Antaran, and the Baybay Health Team, including the Midwife, Barangay Health Workers (BHWs), and Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS).

PuroKalusugan, now on its 2nd year of implementation in the Municipality of Tangalan, was successfully launched at Barangay Afga last May 5, 2026. With the theme: GUHGMA โGathering of Universal Healthcare services Given to Modern Afgahanon,โ the activity delivered a comprehensive package of health services directly to the community.
Services provided included medical consultations, blood pressure and blood sugar screening, immunization, maternal and child health services, family planning, TB and anti-smoking services, HIV testing, and distribution of medicines and vitamins ensuring that essential care is accessible at the grassroots level.
The success of this program was made possible through the strong leadership of Mayor Gene T. Fuentes, whose unwavering support continues to drive health programs forward in the municipality.
We also recognize the dedication of the Rural Health Unit staff headed by Dr. Beancy Rose Yeban, and the hard work and efforts of the DOH Human Resources for Health (HRH) team under the supervision of Mrs. Grace B. Ureta, DMO IV. Special thanks to Mrs. Maricon N. Pioquinto, nurse in charge of the barangay for her tireless effort and commitment in ensuring the seamless delivery of services during the launching program.
