𝑩𝒐𝒓𝒓𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒐 Tes Socra actively participated in the Training Seminar on “𝑹𝒆𝒂𝒍 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒕𝒚 𝑻𝒂𝒙 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒍𝒊𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑰𝒎𝒑𝒂𝒄𝒕 𝑺𝒕𝒖𝒅𝒚 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑳𝑮𝑼𝒔 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝑵𝒆𝒈𝒓𝒐𝒔 𝑶𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒍 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑺𝒊𝒒𝒖𝒊𝒋𝒐𝒓” held on 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝟏𝟗–𝟐𝟏, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 at 𝐒𝐢𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐚 𝐇𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐥, 𝐏𝐢𝐚𝐩𝐢, 𝐃𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐞𝐭𝐞 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲.

The seminar was conducted by the 𝐁𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐮 𝐨𝐟 𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 (𝐁𝐋𝐆𝐅) 𝐍𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐬 𝐈𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧 headed by 𝑰𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒎 𝑹𝒆𝒈𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑫𝒊𝒓𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒐𝒓 𝑴𝒂. 𝑹𝒉𝒐𝒅𝒐𝒓𝒂 𝑮𝒂𝒔𝒄𝒐𝒏, in coordination with 𝑩𝑳𝑮𝑭 𝑹𝒆𝒈𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑽𝑰𝑰 headed by 𝑹𝒆𝒈𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑫𝒊𝒓𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒐𝒓 𝑮𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒓𝒅𝒐 𝑨𝒗𝒐𝒓𝒒𝒖𝒆.

This undertaking aims to equip personnel from the Assessor’s and Treasurer’s Offices with the necessary knowledge and skills in conducting 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐲 𝐓𝐚𝐱 (𝐑𝐏𝐓) 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐚𝐱 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐲 in support of the City Council in the crafting of an ordinance that strengthens and promotes a balanced implementation of local fiscal and taxation policies, while helping ease the burden on taxpayers and shield them from the impact of potential tax adjustments arising from the mandatory updating of the 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐬 (𝐒𝐌𝐕) pursuant to 𝑹𝒆𝒑𝒖𝒃𝒍𝒊𝒄 𝑨𝒄𝒕 𝑵𝒐. 12001, 𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒘𝒊𝒔𝒆 𝒌𝒏𝒐𝒘𝒏 𝒂𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑹𝒆𝒂𝒍 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒕𝒚 𝑽𝒂𝒍𝒖𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑨𝒔𝒔𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝑹𝒆𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒎 𝑨𝒄𝒕 (𝑹𝑷𝑽𝑨𝑹𝑨), a national law and government undertaking.

The Office likewise extends its appreciation to Councilor Meriam N. Busmion for attending the seminar-workshop and representing the Sangguniang Panlungsod of Tanjay City. Your presence and active participation reflect your genuine concern for the welfare of the people and your commitment to ensuring that policies and ordinances crafted by the City Government remain responsive, fair, and beneficial to the constituents.

The Office also extends its sincere gratitude to the Honorable Mayor Jose "Pepe" T. Orlino for the continued support and commitment to strengthening good local governance, particularly in advancing capacity-building initiatives that promote efficient public service delivery, sound fiscal management, and responsive local policies for the benefit of the Tanjayanons.

In compliance with Section 15 of Republic Act No. 12001 (RPVARA), the City Assessor’s Office of Tanjay submitted the Schedule of Market Values (SMV) to the BLGF Regional Office on March 25, 2026. This submission will undergo review and, once certified by the Secretary of Finance, will serve as the official valuation base for property taxation and government transactions.

In compliance with CMO Memorandum Order No. 257, Series of 2026, the City Assessor’s Office will adopt the Compressed Work Week Schedule as part of the Flexible Work Arrangement and Energy Conservation Protocol.

Monday to Thursday — 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM

This adjustment supports efficient energy use while ensuring uninterrupted delivery of essential services.

The Office of the City Assessor conducted a Public Consultation on the proposed Schedule of Market Values (SMV) for real properties in Tanjay City on January 30, 2026 (Friday), 1:00 PM, at the Santa Cruz Viejo Gym, Tanjay City.

The conduct of a public consultation is essential to ensure transparency, fairness, and inclusivity in the valuation of real properties. It provides property owners, stakeholders, and the general public the opportunity to review the proposed market values, raise concerns, ask questions, and submit comments or recommendations. This participatory process helps ensure that the proposed SMV reflects current market conditions and protects the rights and interests of property owners.

This activity was conducted pursuant to Section 15 of Republic Act No. 12001, otherwise known as the Real Property Valuation and Assessment Reform Act (RPVARA), which mandates the conduct of public consultations prior to the approval and adoption of the Schedule of Market Values.

On behalf of the staff of the City Assessor’s Office of Tanjay, we would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the following: BLGF Region 7 represented by Mr Julice T.
