𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐡 𝐠𝐢𝐟𝐭

THE Provincial Government of Tarlac under the leadership of Governor Christian Tell Yap conducted a house-to-house cash gift giving to new Tarlaqueño centenarians and birthday celebrants last October 23.
Through the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), headed by Ma. Elena Jalos, the cash gifts were personally distributed to the beneficiaries in accordance with Provincial Ordinance No. 001-2016, otherwise known as the “Tarlaqueño Centenarian Ordinance of 2016,” authored by former Vice Governor Carlito “Casada” David.
The third-quarter cash gift distribution recognized eight newly declared centenarians, each receiving ₱100,000, while centenarians celebrating their birthdays received ₱25,000 each.
Since the program’s implementation in 2016, PGT has awarded one-time cash gifts to a total of 343 centenarians, while 364 birthday celebrants have also received cash gifts. ---𝐉𝐨𝐬𝐡𝐮𝐚 𝐑𝐚𝐦𝐨 (𝐏𝐈𝐎)

𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐝 𝐚𝐭 𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐇𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐥

THE Provincial Government of Tarlac, through the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) conducted the Tarlac Contingency Plans (CP) Updating held at the Quest Plus Conference Center, Clark Freeport Zone.
The three-day workshop from October 19 to 21 was aimed at strengthening inter-agency coordination, clarify roles and responsibilities in enhancing the preparedness and response mechanisms to ensure a timely, effective, and coordinated response to emergencies and disasters.
Attended by representatives from various national, provincial, and local government agencies, LGUs, and uniformed personnel, the seminar reviewed and updated the province’s contingency plans for its three major hazards, flooding, typhoon, and earthquake.
Provincial Administrator Dr. Krishna Buenaventura, PDRRMO Head Marvin Guiang, and Raymond Garcia of the Office of Civil Defense Region III discussed the overview of the contingency planning process.
In his remarks, Guiang reaffirmed the Provincial Government of Tarlac’s (PGT) commitment to strengthening collaborative planning and advancing initiatives toward a disaster-prepared, responsive, and resilient province. ---(𝐏𝐈𝐎)

THE Provincial Government of Tarlac, through the Tarlac Provincial Tourism Office, was named second runner-up in the 2026 Association of Tourism Officers of the Philippines (ATOP) Pearl Awards – Best Brochure Provincial Level Category held in Ormoc City, Leyte on October 21.
The award, received by the Tarlac Tourism Office headed by Provincial Tourism Officer Dr. Cherrylyn Pascua and Region III Tourism Director Dr. Richard Daenos, is the first award for Tarlac province in the brochure category.
In her Facebook post, Pascua thanked the support of Tarlac Governor Christian Tell Yap and said that the award is a testament to the passion, creativity and dedication of everyone in the Tarlac tourism office.
“A proud milestone for Tarlac tourism and a testament to the passion, creativity, and dedication of everyone behind this achievement. Our heartfelt gratitude to Gov. Christian Yap for believing in, trusting, and continuously supporting the tourism sector. Your support inspires us to keep showcasing the beauty, culture, and rich tourism potential of our beloved province,” she posted.

PGT’s ‘Cookie’ Top 10 in ‘Masskareyna PH 2026’

ANGEL Blair ‘Cookie’ Cokiangco, representing the province of Tarlac in the recently concluded Masskareyna PH 2026 held in Bacolod City landed in the Top 10 of one of the premier transgender beauty and empowerment pageants in the country.
Cookie, an employee of the Provincial Government of Tarlac under the Tarlac Provincial Tourism Office, was also crowned Best in Swimsuit.
Another Tarlaqueno Yeng Lavitoria who represented the municipality of Paniqui was crowned first runner-up to grand winner Quezon City’s Casey Banes Paculan. A third Tarlaqueno, Tarlac City’s Billy Yadao made it to the Top 15.
