CAMP AQUINO, TARLAC CITY- 1st Armament and Ammunition Battalion, led by LTC NESTOR L VALENZUELA II, Commanding Officer, 1AAB, conducted an educational tour at ARMSCOR facilities on 30 July 2024 at Marikina City. The tour aims to orient the officers and key personnel on Fi****ms and Ammunition manufacturing processes and enhance the 1AAB's capabilities.
ARMSCOR is recognized as this unit's crucial partner and direct reserve counterpart, providing essential expertise and support for our mission. Also, the tour is beneficial in identifying the necessary equipment and technology to enhance the unit’s capabilities.

Retirement ceremony in honor of Msg Albert O Alegre (OS) PA was conducted at Headquarters 1st Armament and Ammunition Battalion, Camp Aquino, San Miguel, Tarlac City on 19 July 2024 presided by LTC NESTORL VALENZUELA II OS (GSC) PA, Commanding Officer, 1AAB, 1LSG, ASCOM, PA, in grateful recognition of his Twenty-Seven (27) years and 10 months of honorable service rendered to the Philippine Army.’

The 1st Armament and Ammunition Battalion together with the Headquarters 1st Logistics Support Group and 1st Transportation Battalion of Army Support Command conducted a Trauma Risk Managemenrt (TRiM) Seminar on 03 August 2023 at Classroom A, SSTS, HASCOM, PA, Camp Aquino, San Miguel Tarlac City.
The Basic TRiM Seminar provides a good opportunity as forthcoming TRiM practitioners who will cascade a trauma-focused peer support system to their respective units. 65 personnel from H1LSG, 1AAB, 1TBn, EODBn, and SSTS actively participated in the said seminar. Through the help of TRiM practitioners from Camp Aquino Station Hospital, HSCtr-NL led by COL ELAIN E NIVERA NC (GSC), Chief Nursing Service, the activity ventures a strong mind resiliency.
During the Opening Ceremony, the Executive Officer of 1AAB represented LTC NOLI L BAGUITAN JR OS (GSC) PA Commanding Officer, 1AAB. In the remarks of CO, 1AAB, he highlighted that, “being key NCO’s in your unit, leading the squads and teams which are the putting edge in our organization, this seminar will coach you to be more knowledgeable in your position as future cascades of operational stress. You will have an overview of what trauma is and how it affects people. Likewise, you will be taught how a trauma informed approach can be implemented in a variety of settings.”
COL REX BANJO Q BUMANGLAG QMS (GSC) PA, Group Commander, 1LSG, extended her grateful appreciation to the TRiM Practitioners of CASH during the Closing Ceremony. Said seminar aims to help the personnel in the early detection, assist, evaluate, and assess as well as in the referral to medical specialist or other echelons of care to prevent the cases of depression from developing into a mental disorder. It is a challenge for every personnel to know the predicament that the soldier finds himself or herself in, when engaged into situations that may cause traumatic experience, to rule out to Post-Traumatic Disorder (PTSD) that could range from war shock to stress reactions.
