Maligayang Pasko! Nawa’y balutin kayo ng pagmamahal ng pamilya, kapayapaan, init, at kagalakan ngayong panahon ng kapaskuhan.
Congratulations to our very own CPT MICHAEL ALLAN R EUGENIO (INF) PA, Company Commander of Bravo (BADGERS) Company, 90th Infantry (BIGKIS-LAHI) Battalion, 6th Infantry (KAMPILAN) Division, stationed at Brgy. Kabengi, Datu Saudi Ampatuan, Maguindanao del Sur, for leading his unit to be hailed as the Best Company during the recently concluded 90IB Anniversary Awards.
CPT EUGENIO is from Quezon City, a Registered Nurse, and a graduate of Centro Escolar University. He translated his background in service and care into decisive military leadership—placing equal emphasis on mission accomplishment and the well-being of the communities within his Area of Operations.
Under his command, Bravo Company achieved a series of breakthroughs that significantly weakened armed threats and strengthened peace and order in its AO. Through sustained engagement and trust-building, twenty-one Balik-Loob individuals, including seven PSR-listed BIFF members, voluntarily laid down their arms in Datu Unsay, turning over twenty-two fi****ms. This milestone not only reduced the enemy’s operational capability but also reinforced confidence in the government’s peace and security efforts.
CPT EUGENIO further intensified the campaign against loose fi****ms by leading coordinated efforts with local government units and stakeholders. These initiatives resulted in the voluntary turnover of thirty loose fi****ms, one RPG projectile, and three 40mm HE rounds across Datu Unsay and Datu Saudi Ampatuan—preserving the gains of ITDS-cleared communities and expanding the operational freedom of 90IB as the Main Effort of 601st Brigade.
On the operational front, his leadership was equally decisive. Bravo Company successfully executed checkpoint operations and deliberate military actions in Shariff Aguak, Datu Unsay, and Datu Hoffer. These operations led to the interception and apprehension of nine armed individuals, the recovery of seven high-powered fi****ms, and the confiscation of illegal drugs—disrupting the mobility and network of armed lawless elements, including members of the Pananaclan Group.
Beyond tactical successes, CPT EUGENIO ensured that Bravo Company remained intelligence-driven and community-focused. Significant intelligence gains, coupled with high-impact stakeholder engagements, strengthened civil-military cooperation and deepened public trust—critical enablers in sustaining internal security operations and supporting broader Unit's objectives.
Ultimately, Bravo Company’s distinction as the Best Company reflects the leadership of CPT MICHAEL ALLAN R EUGENIO—a commander whose steady hand, operational clarity, and people-centered approach transformed challenges into momentum. Through his leadership, Bravo Company not only delivered results on the battlefield but also helped move the Bangsamoro closer to enduring peace, meaningful progress, and a safer future for all.
Meet Gandilan’s Superhuman: CPT ROCA B CASING (FS) PA
From Valencia City, Bukidnon, emerges a story not just of survival, but of quiet excellence, resilience, and purpose. CPT CASING —fondly known as Gandilan’s “Superhuman”—is a living testament that true strength is not measured by physical completeness, but by character, competence, and unwavering commitment to service.
A graduate of Central Mindanao University with a Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management, CPT CASING's path took a profound turn in 2015, during one of the most rigorous military trainings. An untoward incident resulted in the amputation of his right leg—an event that could have ended many careers. For CPT CASING, however, it became the beginning of a stronger resolve.
With a heavy heart but an unbroken spirit, he stood firm and proved to the entire organization that disability does not define one’s capacity to lead, serve, and excel. He chose not to be limited by circumstance, showing instead that a complete officer is defined by mindset, professionalism, and dedication to duty.
CPT CASING's service record reflects this determination. Early in his career at OG2, 4ID, PA (2016–2017), he served as an Administrative Officer, strengthening personnel accountability and improving documentation systems that enhanced office efficiency. These early contributions laid the foundation for the trust placed in him in subsequent assignments.
From 2017 to 2019 at MFO, 4ID, PA, CPT CASING carried broader responsibilities. As an Administrative Officer, he was entrusted to serve as a Financial Inspector during the 4ID Pre-Annual General Inspection for CY 2018–2019, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial documents across subordinate units. He also assumed the roles of Gender and Development (GAD) Officer and Army Transformation Roadmap (ATR) Officer, advocating gender equality and delivering Army Governance Pathway training—underscoring his belief that inclusive leadership strengthens mission accomplishment. His role in the Pre-Audit Section further demonstrated his meticulous attention to detail in financial verification.
His competence in finance and administration was further proven during his assignment at 4DCAU, 4ID, PA (2019–2023). As Special Disbursing Officer, he managed unit expenses, special releases, and financial support for CAAs over more than three years. Simultaneously, he performed as Administrative Officer and Logistics Officer, balancing operational demands with fiscal responsibility—an indication of his reliability under pressure.
In 2024, CPT CASING was designated Support Division Chief at FCPA, where he led 158 personnel through guidance, supervision, and steady leadership. His focus on unity and readiness strengthened organizational cohesion and operational effectiveness. This was followed by his assignment as Assistant Chief of the 5th Financial Services Field Office (FSFO), FCPA (November 2024 – May 2025), where he monitored financial operations critical to sustaining both administrative and operational requirements.
Complementing his field experience, CPT CASING completed key professional military courses, including the Finance Service Officer Basic and Advance Courses, Scout Ranger Orientation Course, and Introduction to Cybersecurity Course, reflecting his commitment to continuous learning and adaptability.
Beyond his duties in uniform, CPT CASING’s resilience found another powerful expression—in sport. Refusing to be defined by disability, he became a member of Cagayan de Oro City’s PWD Dragons, competing as a dragon boat paddler. From 2018 to 2022, he represented teams such as CGY Dragonboat Racing Team, Fire Breathers – Rapid Riders, and Rapid Riders, earning podium finishes, including a Championship in the Inter-City Paradragon Race in Cebu City (2019). Each race mirrored his life’s journey—stroke by stroke, pushing forward despite the odds.
CPT CASING’s story is not merely about survival; it is about purpose. He embodies the truth that adversity does not weaken character—it reveals it. In service, in leadership, and in life, he stands as a living reminder that true strength comes from the will to rise, to serve, and to inspire others to believe that no challenge is greater than a determined heart.
TO OUR DIRECT UPPERCLASS HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!
We join in celebrating the years of excellent service of our direct upperclassmen. The Gandilan Class is deeply honored to be your direct juniors, Sirs and Ma’ams. May you continue to inspire us through your leadership and dedication.
Long live our esteemed upperclassmen.

Known as a hardworking, soft-spoken, intelligent, and humble officer, he exemplifies discipline and excellence. He is task-oriented, never self-serving, and consistently demonstrates passion and dedication in everything he does.
A strategic thinker, he finds value in every task and sees opportunities for growth in every challenge. His accomplishments as an Army officer reflect these qualities. He served as a key planner of focused military operations against communist terrorist groups, contributing significantly to the successful combat operations in Davao Oriental. Beyond combat, he also played an important role in the success of community development initiatives and peace efforts in the province.
Throughout his military education, CPT ALCANTARA consistently stood out as a top performer. He ranked first in his Advance Officer Course, which qualified him to represent the Philippine Army at the Army Operations Course (AOC) at the Canadian Army Command and Staff College. Those who know CPT Reyes describe him as gentle, intelligent, kind, and highly professional — a leader who genuinely cares for his troops and colleagues, and a devoted family man of strong character.
A defining highlight of his military leadership was during the Marawi Siege, where he was recognized as a key leader in the neutralization of Madi Maute, one of the Maute brothers and a high-value target. His decisive actions were confirmed by JTF Marawi and earned him prestigious awards, including:
1. Order of Lapu-Lapu (conferred by President Rodrigo Duterte)
2. Three (3) Gold Cross Medals
Indeed, CPT SONNY BOY L REYES (ARM) PA stands as a true embodiment of honor, excellence, and service — a pride of the Gandilan class.
