The Saludan Festival is more than a series of festivities. It is a celebration of our heritage, our people, and the traditions that continue to shape the identity of Tigbauanons. TIGBAUAN, ILOILO - Mainit nga gin-amuma sang LGU Tigbauan ang mga bisita halin sa LGU Pavia sa ila Benchmarking sa banwa subong nga Oktubre 8.

Ang ila pagbisita nakasentro sa pagkilala sa Tigbaw Mananayaw, ang grupo sang mga mananayaw nga mga empleyado sang LGU Tigbauan.

Ang delegasyon sang LGU Pavia ginlakipan sang 22 employee-performers, anum (6) ka mga empleyado sang Budget Office, kag anum (6) man halin sa Tourism Office.

Ang ila pagbisita nagapakita nga ang Tigbaw Mananayaw, ginakilala kag bugal man sang banwa sa pagiging simbolo sang kultura, tradisyon, kag mainit nga pag-amuma sang mga Tigbauanon.

TIGBAUAN, ILOILO - Sa ikaduwa nga adlaw sang Farmers and Fisherfolk Week 2026, naghiwat ang Municipal Agriculture Office, sa pamunuan ni Mr. Marlo Cabanero, OIC-MAO, sang Fluvial Parade may kaangtanan sa pagselebrar sang Adlaw sang Mangingisda.

Ang tagsa ka mga mangingisda nagpasundayag sang ila mga bangka sa parada nga nag-umpisa sa baybayon sang Brgy. Parara dangat sa baybayon sang Brgy. Atabayan.

Ini nga aktibidad nagasimbolo sang pagpasalamat sa tanan nga grasya kag pangabuhian nga bugay sang kadagatan sa mga mangingisda. Nagasimbolo man ini sang pangamuyo para sa kaluwasan kag proteksyon sang mga mangingisda sa tagsa ka pagpalahud.

TIGBAUAN, ILOILO - Pormal nga nagbukas ang Disenyo Tigbaueño 7.3 Art Exhibit sang TAGATIG Tigbauan Artists sa Sol Y Mar Family Beach Resort sa Brgy. Namocon, Tigbauan, Iloilo sang Oktubre 5.

Ang exhibit kabahin sang selebrasyon sang Saludan Festival sa banwa. Ginapangunahan ini sang Municipal Tourism Office, sa pagpamuno ni Mrs. Phoebe M. Torrico, MGDH I Tourism Officer.

The days are drawing closer as Tigbauan prepares for one of its most anticipated celebrations of culture, creativity, and community.

In 9 days, the SALUDAN DANCE AND MUSIC COMPETITION 2026 will once again bring together performers who will translate stories, traditions, and the spirit of the Tigbauanon community into movement and music.

More than a competition, Saludan is a celebration of the heritage that continues to shape our identity.

As the countdown continues, the excitement builds for a celebration where culture takes the stage and Tigbauan comes together as one.

The Local Government Unit of Tigbauan, headed by Municipal Mayor Atty. Virgilio T. Teruel and Municipal Vice Mayor Hon. Lugen T. Ortilano, through the Cultural Affairs and Tourism Office, headed by Municipal Tourism Officer Phoebe M. Torrico, in collaboration with the TAGATIG Tigbauan Artists Hub, successfully opened Disenyo Tigbaueño 7.3: Pagpananum-tanum dated October 5, 2026, at Sol Y Mar Beach Resort. 🎨🌱

Held as part of the Municipality of Tigbauan’s Saludan Festival celebration, the activity celebrates and puts the spotlight on the products of Tigbauanon artistry, creativity, and craftsmanship—showcasing how local artists transform ideas, experiences, and cultural identity into meaningful works of art.

Disenyo Tigbaueño 7.3: Pagpananum-tanum also serves as a celebration of the camaraderie, collaboration, and unity among Tigbauanon artists and artisans, coming together to exhibit their creative masterpieces that embody the identity, stories, and spirit of the community. 💚🎨

The activity was graced by Board Member Jo-ann Germinanda, whose presence added significance to the celebration of Tigbauanon creativity, artistry, and cultural expression.

Adding meaning to the celebration was the presentation of the Golden Brush Awards, recognizing individuals who have served as a foundation of Tigbauanon creativity and continue to inspire the younger generation to embrace art as a powerful expression of culture, beliefs, identity, and imagination. 🖌️✨

The activity was further enriched by the inspiring messages of our guest speakers, Oman Gaitana and Frank Alexi Nobleza, whose words encouraged our local artists and creatives to continue nurturing their craft, embracing their unique creative voices, and using art as a means to tell stories and preserve the richness of our culture.

Through Pagpananum-tanum, we are reminded that creativity, much like a seed, must be planted, nurtured, and given the space to grow. And when nurtured by a community that believes in the power of art, creativity does not simply flourish—it becomes part of the legacy we leave for the next generation. 🌱🎨
