๐Ÿ“šโœจ Celebrating Stories, Books, and Young Readers!

On September 11, 2026, St. Jude Parish School Library had the privilege of attending the 9th National Childrenโ€™s Book Awards, a celebration of outstanding Filipino childrenโ€™s literature and the people and institutions who help bring meaningful stories closer to young readers.

We are grateful to have been recognized as a Partner Library in support of promoting and appreciating quality childrenโ€™s books. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ“–

Our heartfelt appreciation goes to the Philippine Board on Books for Young People (PBBY) and the National Book Development Board (NBDB) for championing Filipino childrenโ€™s literature and creating opportunities for libraries, educators, and young readers to connect with meaningful and inspiring books.

This recognition inspires us to continue building a library where every child can discover stories, explore new ideas, and develop a lifelong love for reading.

๐Ÿ“šโœจ Celebrating Young Readers and Filipino Books! ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญโค๏ธ

Last June, St. Jude Parish School, Inc. was honored to be chosen by the Philippine Board on Books for Young People (PBBY), in partnership with the Philippine Association of School Librarians, Inc. (PASLI), to participate in the Kids' Choice Award Pilot under the 9th National Children's Book Awards (NCBA).

We are grateful for the opportunity to give our students the privilege of reading, choosing, and voting for the books they loved! ๐Ÿ“–๐Ÿ—ณ๏ธ

A heartfelt thank you to PBBY and PASLI for generously donating Filipiniana book titles to our school library. These wonderful books are now part of our growing collection, giving our students more stories to discover and enjoy.

And yesโ€”our library now houses award-winning books! ๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ“šโœจ

Some of our well-loved books have recently received a little TLC. ๐Ÿ’› A few had serious spine injuries, so we carefully repaired them to give them a longer life on our shelves.

You may notice a small repair sticker on some of these books. This means the book has been repaired and may still be more fragile than our other books.

๐Ÿฉน When you see the repair sticker, please be EXTRA GENTLE with the book. Handle it carefully, support the spine when carrying it, and avoid pulling or forcing the pages open too wide. Your gentle hands can help keep these books on the shelves for much longer. ๐Ÿ’›

Books are meant to be read, shared, and lovedโ€”and weโ€™re happy to give them another chance to tell their stories. ๐Ÿ“–
