๐‘ท๐‘ท๐‘ซ๐‘ถ ๐‘ผ๐‘ท๐‘ซ๐‘จ๐‘ป๐‘ฌ | The Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte (PGLDN), under the leadership of ๐†๐จ๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ๐ง๐จ๐ซ ๐Œ๐จ๐ก๐š๐ฆ๐š๐ ๐Š๐ก๐š๐ฅ๐ข๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ข๐›๐ซ๐š๐ง๐ณ๐š ๐ƒ๐ข๐ฆ๐š๐ฉ๐จ๐ซ๐จ, through the Provincial Planning and Development Office, attended the Training on Basic Statistics on March 16-18, 2026 at the Celadon Suite, San Miguel Village, Pala-o, Iligan City.

The training was attended by the representatives from the PGLDN, Mr. Clint Juluar L. Gapol and Mr. Desios Carl E. Fuentes. The training was also attended by representatives and technical staff from the Municipal Local Government Units (MLGUs) across the 22 municipalities of the province.

The training aimed to strengthen the participantsโ€™ knowledge and skills in basic statistical concepts and methodologies essential for the effective implementation of the Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS). This initiative supports data-driven planning and decision-making to further enhance public service delivery across the province.

Through the PSAโ€“ Lanao del Norte, this initiative marks the beginning of a series of upcoming trainings for the CBMS to ensure the proper utilization of data in planning and decision-making.

19 February 2026 (Tubod, Lanao del Norte)โ€“ The fourth of the series of Region X Anti-Poverty Summits continued in Lanao del Norte at the MCC Gymnasium, Tubod.

Lanao del Norte Governor Mohamad Khalid Q. Dimaporo, in his welcome message, emphasized that โ€œthe fight against poverty is never ending,โ€ underscoring that while the existing interventions must be sustained, there is equally urgent need to institutionalize long-term, structural reforms that address the root causes of poverty, including gaps in access to basic services, livelihood opportunities, infrastructure, and human capital development.

The Summit brought together key local and regional stakeholders to reinforce collaboration, align priority programs, and advance sustainable, inclusive solutions to address poverty across the province and in Region X.

TUBOD, Lanao del Norte โ€” The Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte conducted the PDPFP 2025โ€“2030 Spatial Development Framework Formulation Workshop on March 3, 2026, at MCC Rianaโ€™s Function Hall.

The activity focused on Chapter 4 of the Provincial Development and Physical Framework Plan (PDPFP), which defines the provinceโ€™s spatial strategy. The framework sets policies on land management, resource allocation, settlement planning, and infrastructure development for the planning period.

Participants included representatives from the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) 1st and 2nd District Engineering Offices, local government units (LGUs), Municipal Planning and Development Coordinators (MPDCs), and concerned provincial government offices.

The Provincial Planning and Development Office (PPDO) reported that 60% of municipalities have approved Comprehensive Land Use Plans (CLUPs), while the remaining municipalities are updating their existing plans. The workshop emphasized the importance of updated CLUPs in ensuring alignment between municipal and provincial development priorities and in supporting evidence-based planning.

Participants were divided into breakout groups covering four policy areas: Protection, Production, Settlements, and Infrastructure Development. Each group reviewed spatial data, identified development concerns, and proposed strategies to guide land use and infrastructure planning.

The Spatial Development Framework will form part of the PDPFP 2025-2030 and will guide provincial land use decisions and development investments in Lanao del Norte. PIO-LDN
