Tuburan District Jail Conducts Regular Flag Raising Ceremony and Values Restoration Program

Tuburan District Jail conducted its regular flag raising ceremony, headed by SJO2 Cresencio D Manlangit, Assistant Jail Warden, together with fifteen (15) personnel and all Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL).

Following the ceremony, a Values Restoration Program was conducted with JO1 Edgar L Dorig as the resource speaker. The session focused on the value of Unity, emphasizing the importance of cooperation, solidarity, mutual respect, and collective responsibility in fostering a positive and harmonious environment within the jail facility.

In addition, Tuburan District Jail personnel actively participated in the Local Government Unit (LGU) Flag Raising Ceremony, demonstrating their continued commitment to public service, discipline, and partnership with the local government.

Through these activities, Tuburan District Jail continues to uphold the values of discipline, unity, and service while supporting the holistic development and welfare of its personnel and PDL.

HONORING OUR FLAG, STRENGTHENING OUR VALUES, SERVING WITH PRIDE

Tuburan District Jail proudly conducted its regular Monday Flag Raising Ceremony, spearheaded by SJO2 Cresencio Manlangit Jr., Assistant Jail Warden, as a meaningful expression of our commitment to duty, discipline, patriotism, and public service.

The ceremony was followed by the Values Restoration Program, with JO1 Reynante Nacor serving as the resource speaker. He shared an insightful discussion on “Refinement in Human Dealings,” reminding everyone that genuine service begins with respect, compassion, understanding, and the continuous effort to become better individuals and public servants.

Tuburan District Jail also actively participated in the LGU Flag Raising Ceremony, standing alongside fellow government workers and community partners in honoring our national flag and reaffirming our shared commitment to the Filipino people.

As we begin another week of service, may the colors of our flag continue to inspire us to uphold integrity, unity, discipline, and love of country. Together, let us continue to serve with dedication, compassion, and pride for a safer and better community.

Tuburan District Jail Supports Joint Bamboo Planting Activity

Tuburan District Jail under the leadership of JSINSP YANDEZ E OPOG, Acting District Jail, actively participated in the Joint Bamboo Planting Activity held on 26 September 2026, at Brgy. Kabangkalan, Tuburan, Cebu.

Eight (8) personnel of this unit, headed by JO1 Sheena Gail C Estrellado, took part in the activity in response to the invitation of the Office of the Municipal Mayor, through the invitation dated September 10, 2026, signed by Hon. Christian Daniel B. Diamante, Municipal Mayor.

The activity brought together various stakeholders, including the Tuburan Eagles Club, Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Philippine National Police (PNP), MENRO Tuburan, and local farmers, united by a shared commitment to environmental conservation and sustainable community development.

Through this initiative, Tuburan District Jail reaffirms its support for environmental stewardship, sustainable land use, and community partnership. Bamboo planting not only helps promote a greener and healthier environment but also contributes to potential long-term economic benefits for the local community.

Tuburan District Jail extends its sincere appreciation to the Office of the Municipal Mayor, participating organizations, local farmers, and all individuals who contributed to the success of this meaningful undertaking.

𝗝𝗢𝗜𝗡𝗧 𝗚𝗥𝗘𝗬𝗛𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗗 𝗢𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗪𝗜𝗧𝗛 𝗣𝗗𝗘𝗔 𝟳

On September 25, 2026, Tuburan District Jail conducted a Joint Greyhound Operation in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) 7, as part of its continuing efforts to maintain a safe, secure, and drug-free correctional environment.

The operation was led by SJO2 Cresencio Manlangit Jr., Assistant Warden, together with twenty (20) Tuburan District Jail personnel, and three (3) PDEA 7 personnel, with the participation of all Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs).

The joint operation involved the systematic inspection and search of designated areas within the jail facility, including the living quarters and personal belongings of the PDLs, in accordance with established security protocols and operational procedures. It aimed to prevent and deter the entry, possession, and use of prohibited drugs, contraband, and other illegal items within the facility while strengthening jail security measures.

Tuburan District Jail sincerely appreciates the continued support, cooperation, and strong partnership of PDEA 7. This sustained inter-agency coordination demonstrates the importance of working together in promoting peace, security, accountability, and a drug-free correctional environment.

Through continued collaboration and shared commitment, we strengthen our collective efforts toward a safer and more secure correctional facility.

TUBURAN DISTRICT JAIL: UPHOLDING DUTY, VALUES, AND SERVICE TO THE NATION

Tuburan District Jail, under the leadership of JSINSP YANDEZ E OPOG, Acting District Jail Warden, conducted its regular Flag Raising Ceremony at the facility, reaffirming the personnel’s commitment to duty, discipline, and service to the Filipino people.

Following the ceremony, a Values Restoration Program was conducted, with JO1 Joven D Pacaña serving as the resource speaker. The session focused on the value of “Empathy,” emphasizing the importance of understanding others, showing compassion, and fostering respect and dignity in every interaction.

Meanwhile, Tuburan District Jail personnel, spearheaded by SJO2 Cresencio D Manlangit Jr, Assistant Jail Warden, actively participated in the Flag Raising Ceremony of the Local Government Unit of Tuburan. Their participation reflects the Jail’s commitment to strengthening partnership with the local government and supporting the shared pursuit of a disciplined, responsible, and united community.

Tuburan District Jail Conducts Values Restoration Program

Tuburan District Jail, under the leadership of JSINSP YANDEZ E OPOG, Acting District Jail Warden, successfully conducted a Values Restoration Program (VRP) featuring JO1 Hero Jay Mercado as the resource speaker. The session focused on the topic “Integrity,” emphasizing the importance of honesty, accountability, moral uprightness, and ethical conduct as essential qualities of a public servant.

The program served as an avenue to strengthen personnel’s understanding of integrity and its vital role in the effective performance of their duties as Jail Officers. It emphasized that integrity goes beyond simply doing what is expected—it means doing what is right, even when no one is watching, upholding the law, respecting the rights and dignity of others, and performing one’s duties with honesty, fairness, professionalism, and dedication.

Through this initiative, personnel were reminded that integrity is the foundation of trust and meaningful public service. By strengthening moral values, reinforcing accountability, and upholding ethical standards, Tuburan District Jail continues to foster personnel committed to serving with honor, dedication, and excellence.

GASA SA SELDA YEAR 3 | Opening Ceremony

On 11 September 2026, Tuburan District Jail formally opened GASA sa Selda Year 3, a program that provides PDLs with meaningful opportunities for skills development, personal growth, rehabilitation, and livelihood preparation.

The activity was attended by CTU & CTU Extension GASA, headed by Engr. Fernando N. Mangubat Jr., Dean, College of Technology; CEBECO II, headed by Dr. Artemio Alden E. Jurlano, Board of Director; Tuburan District Jail personnel led by JSINSP YANDEZ E OPOG, Acting District Jail Warden, program implementers, support teams, and PDL beneficiaries.

The program features Business and Financial Management Skills Training and “Threads of Hope: From Thimble to Triumphs for PDLs,” equipping beneficiaries with practical skills that may lead to sustainable livelihood opportunities and successful reintegration into society.

🤝 A highlight of the activity was the donation by CEBECO II of two (2) sets of plastic crates, each with ten (10) layers, in support of the livelihood bakery project.

Through strong partnerships and continued support, GASA sa Selda continues to turn skills into opportunities and hope into a better future.

REGIONAL OFFICE JAIL INSPECTION | SEPTEMBER 9, 2026

Tuburan District Jail, under the leadership of JSINSP YANDEZ E OPOG, Acting District Jail Warden, welcomed the Regional Director of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology Region VII, JCSUPT LUISITO C MUÑOZ, CESE, together with JCINSP RENZ JOSEPH D BASCUGIN, JSINSP JOHN AGUSTIN C PAJANTOY, and personnel from the Regional Office Engineering Section.

The inspection covered the different areas of the facility, security measures, and other operational aspects of Tuburan District Jail. It aimed to personally assess the jail’s conditions, strengthen security and operational standards, promote accountability, and identify areas for improvement in the continuing delivery of effective and humane jail management services.

The activity also reinforced the importance of leadership presence, operational readiness, and continuous improvement in maintaining a safe, secure, and well-managed correctional facility.
