From August 11 to September 3, 2026, the AMIA Program team visited several AMIA Villages to assess their organizational performance, livelihood activities, and use of program-supported agricultural assets. The monitoring will continue until the end of the year.
The field visits highlighted the active role of AMIA Villages in managing and sustaining their organizations and livelihood initiatives. Farmer-members shared their experiences, challenges, and efforts to keep their enterprises productive despite climate-related risks.
More than gathering information, the field activity provided an opportunity to see how AMIA Villages are managing their organizations, agricultural assets, livelihood enterprises, and resources to respond to the challenges faced by their communities.
As a follow-through to the identified needs, the AMIA Program will conduct a two-week Training on Organizational Strengthening and Financial Management of AMIA Villages on October 5โ16, 2026. The training will focus on organizational structure, leadership, roles and responsibilities, teamwork, succession planning, financial management, budgeting, recordkeeping, transparency and accountability, and action planning.
This initiative is to help AMIA Villages become stronger, more organized, and more self-sustaining farmer communities capable of building resilient farming communities in Cagayan Valley.๐ฑ๐พ
