TUPI LCAT- VAWC

Last Nov.26 ,2025 the Local government unit of Tupi through the MSWD office conducted capacity enchancement activity related to R.A 9262 and R.A 11956 (Anti-child marriage law) to the brgy. VAWC Desk officers , brgy. IPMR and LCAT-VAWC members . Prosecutor Atty. Danieza Julaidah Padate discussed the process, procedures, legal mandates among others on R.A 9262 and R.A 11956. this initiatives is a part of our continuing efforts to empower the frontline service providers and strengthen collaboration at the community level by equipping them to reduce and ultimately eliminate cases of VAWC and early Child marriage in every barangay.

Anchored on this year’s theme, “Ako, Ikaw, Tayo: Nagkakaisa Laban sa Child Sexual Abuse!”, the webinar will highlight rights-based, community-driven, and multi-sectoral approaches to prevent child sexual abuse and exploitation, including OSAEC.

June 24, 2025- MCAT- VAWC, MCPC & MCAC 2nd quarterly Joint meeting @ 2nd floor building of Municipal Social Welfare and Development, Tupi South Cotabato.

May 14-21, 2025-The Local Committee of Anti-Trafficking and Violence Against Women and Their Children under the leadership of Mayor Romeo S. Tamayo and spearheaded by Ms. Rosemin B. Catubig, RSW, MSSW conducted a VAWC DESK Functionality Assessment to fifteen (15) Barangays of the Municipality. The team was composed of representatives from different agencies particularly the Department of Interior and Local Government , Municipal Social Welfare amd Development Office , Women and Children Protection Desk Of Tupi PNP and Planning office.The activity aimed to Monitor/ assess the Functionality of Barangay VAWC DESK of this Municipality.

The team assessed the following areas:
1. Establishment- 20%
2. Resources - 20%
3. Policies, Plans and Budget - 20%
4. Accomplishment- 40%
