Modesto V. Ferrer Elementary School welcomed the Learning Resources Team of Schools Division Office I Pangasinan on October 21, 2026, headed by Sir Arnold A. Caburnay and Sir Loen Marben F. Sison, for the monitoring and provision of technical assistance on school library management and the reading corners in every classroom.

The activity was warmly facilitated by our School Head, Dr. Leslie R. Balolong, together with Ma’am Novemie V. Sarmiento, School Library-In-Charge, who actively support the school's commitment to promoting literacy and fostering a love for reading among learners.

The monitoring focused on the organization and management of the school library, the availability and utilization of learning resources, the implementation of reading programs, and the maintenance of classroom reading corners. It also highlighted the importance of sustaining a clean, organized, accessible, and learner-friendly environment that encourages reading, learning, and exploration.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Learning Resources Team of SDO I Pangasinan for their valuable guidance, technical assistance, and continued support in strengthening our school library and reading initiatives.

Modesto V. Ferrer Elementary School proudly participated in the Kick-Off of the National DepEd School Safety Week on October 12, 2026, through the recorded Flag Ceremony, highlighting our shared commitment to promoting a safe, secure, and child-friendly learning environment for everyone.

One of the most meaningful parts of the ceremony was the solemn recitation of the “Panata ng Buong Komunidad para sa Mas Ligtas na Paaralan.” Through this pledge, we reaffirm our collective responsibility to protect our learners, promote preparedness, prevent risks, and work together in building a school community where every child feels safe, protected, and valued.
