TOWARD A SAFER ENVIRONMENT FOR EVERY CHILD 💙

Yesterday, October 7, DepEd Cagayan de Oro City through the Learner Rights and Protection Division, in partnership with the City Government of Cagayan de Oro through the Local School Board, officially launched the KAAGAPAY PROGRAM at City Central School!

The event gathered school stakeholders across the division, with active participation from School Parents-Teachers Association (SPTA) and School Governance Council (SGC) representatives from all public elementary and secondary schools in Cagayan de Oro City.

In a rapidly changing world—especially in the digital age—protecting our children must go beyond the classroom. It requires a united effort that starts at home, is reinforced in school, and is sustained by the community.

As a key pillar of this initiative, we also introduced the Kaagapay Toolkit for Parents, providing families with practical guidance to support, protect, and empower young Kagay-anons both online and offline.

📚 Puerto ES InSeT - 11 CPD units
📚 Bulua CS SLAC - 10 CPD units

👏 Kudos to our dedicated School Heads, SLAC and INSET Coordinators, and all those who worked behind the scenes to prepare and complete the requirements for accreditation. Your hard work and commitment to teacher development truly make a difference.

Our appreciation also goes to the HRDS Team, headed by Dr. Derrold Marl S. Aves, together with Ms. Mary Caress Galono and Ms. Loredelle Tacandong, for providing the necessary technical assistance and guidance to our schools, with the support of the entire SGOD Team, headed by Chief Rosalio R. Vitorillo, and under the leadership of ASDS Audie S. Borres and SDS Roy Angelo E. Gazo.

This milestone reflects the commitment of our schools to continuous professional growth and quality learning opportunities for our teachers.
