Upi Youth Governance Program - UYGP "Empowering Dreams, Inspiring Changes"
โœ‰๏ธ: [email protected] It is the first program of its kind in the entire Bangsamoro Region.

The UYGP is a groundbreaking initiative by the LGU-Upi, Maguindanao del Norte, aimed at empowering and nurturing young leaders by involving them in governance-related activities. In 2020, the program received recognition and support through the LGU Grant Assistance for Innovative Practices (LGAIP) Program of the BARMM's Ministry of the Interior and Local Government.

Officials from the Upi Youth Governance Program (UYGP) joined the tree-planting activity conducted by the Upi Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Federation as part of the Linggo ng Kabataan celebration on August 29, 2026, at Kabakaba, Upi, Maguindanao del Norte.

The Upi Youth Governance Program (UYGP) Batch 12โ€“HIRAYA successfully revitalized the Youth Mental Health Advocates of Upi (YMHAU) on August 1, 2026, at the Municipal Gymnasium, bringing together students and youth advocates to promote mental health awareness and advocacy.

The program featured a discussion on mental health led by Resource Speaker Mr. Michael Anthony B. Cruz. He was joined by facilitators Ms. Tarhata A. Usman II, Ms. Esnaira L. Dilawangen, and Mr. Nourol-Ell S. Angkong, who guided participants through various activities and learning sessions.

Former YMHAU members Ms. Hanna Threza Balitaan and Mr. Jorge Peter Paul Rawadin also attended the program. They discussed the organization's background and goals to familiarize participants with the role and purpose of the Youth Mental Health Advocates of Upi.

The Upi Youth Governance Program (UYGP) officials conducted "Usapang Barkadahan" with participants from the Upi Summer Employment Program for Students (USEPS) on June 5, 2026, at Salamat Hall, Tri-People Building.

This campaign activity aims to spread awareness and reduce teenage pregnancy among adolescents, as well as to dive deeper into the risks of engaging in pre-marital s*x through a youth-centered lecture.

More than just planting trees, this activity symbolizes our commitment to environmental stewardship and our shared responsibility in building a greener, healthier, and more sustainable future for generations to come.
