BFP-VALENZUELA RESPONDS TO 2ND ALARM RESIDENTIAL FIRE AT GB13 BARANGAY UGONG, VALENZUELA CITY

IN PHOTOS || BFP-Valenzuela City fire engine units, spearheaded by FSUPT MA THERESA A ALQUEZA, City Fire Marshal, responded to a 2nd alarm residential fire alongside barangay fire brigades, fire volunteer groups and the Valenzuela City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (VCDRRMO) at GB13 Brgy. Ugong, Valenzuela City.

The first alarm was raised at 4:23 PM and escalated to 2nd alarm by 4:28 PM. At around 5:23 PM, the fire was declared under control and fire out at 7:38 PM, both declared by FINSP MIRAÑA.

The Valenzuela City Fire Station extends its heartfelt appreciation to all responders and partner agencies for their dedication and teamwork in ensuring the safety of the community.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 || FSUPT MA THERESA A ALQUEZA, City Fire Marshal, attended a coordination meeting facilitated by Hon. Gerald Cloyd Alexis D.V. Galang, Second District Representative of Valenzuela City. Also present during the meeting was the Philippine Red Cross – Valenzuela City Chapter, headed by Chairman Elizabeth A. Chongco.

The meeting focused on the preparations for the upcoming Disaster Management Training for Youth Volunteers, an initiative of Hon. Galang aimed at equipping young volunteers with essential knowledge and practical skills in emergency preparedness, disaster response, basic life support, fire safety, and rescue operations.

The activity will be conducted in partnership with the Bureau of Fire Protection – Valenzuela City and the Philippine Red Cross – Valenzuela City Chapter, reflecting a shared commitment to developing capable and community-oriented youth volunteers who can serve as valuable partners in promoting public safety and disaster resilience.

Through collaborative efforts such as this, the youth are empowered to become proactive participants in building safer, stronger, and more disaster-resilient communities.
