ONGOING RECRUITMENT AND SELECTION ACTIVITIES FOR TEACHER I APPLICANTS IN SCHOOLS DIVISION OFFICE - VALENZUELA CITY

The Schools Division Office (SDO) of Valenzuela City is presently undertaking a comprehensive and multi-stage recruitment process aimed at selecting the most qualified and competent teachers for the division from February 10, 11, and 12, 2026. This initiative is part of the division’s continuing commitment to strengthen its teaching workforce and ensure the delivery of quality, inclusive, and learner-centered education to all students.

Currently, three major activities are being conducted simultaneously across various schools within the division: Classroom Demonstration Teaching, the writing of the Teacher Reflection Form (TRF), and the Behavioral Events Interview (BEI).
The Classroom Demonstration Teaching serves as a practical assessment where applicants are given the opportunity to present an actual lesson in a classroom setting. This allows evaluators to observe their mastery of subject matter, teaching strategies, classroom management skills, and ability to engage learners effectively.
The Teacher Reflection Form is a written component that enables applicants to express their personal teaching philosophy, reflect on their professional experiences, and articulate their insights on effective teaching and learning practices. This tool provides valuable information on an applicant’s self-awareness, professional values, and commitment to continuous improvement.
The Behavioral Events Interview is designed to assess applicants’ competencies, decision-making abilities, and alignment with the core values of the Department of Education. Through situational and experience-based questions, evaluators gain a deeper understanding of how applicants respond to challenges, interact with stakeholders, and uphold ethical standards in the teaching profession.
These activities are being implemented in accordance with Division Memorandum No. 0120, s. 2026 and Division Memorandum No. 0876, s. 2025, which outlines the official guidelines, timelines, and procedures for the recruitment process. The Division Personnel Selection Board (DPSB) is at the forefront of this undertaking, ensuring that all stages are conducted with fairness, transparency, and adherence to merit-based principles.
By combining practical teaching demonstrations, reflective writing, and behavioral assessment, SDO Valenzuela City ensures a holistic evaluation of each applicant’s skills, knowledge, and professional disposition. This rigorous process is designed not only to identify the best candidates but also to uphold the division’s mission of providing high-quality education through a dedicated and competent teaching force.

Appreciation goes to the School Heads of Marulas Central School, ValSped Center, Pio Valenzuela ES, Pasolo ES, Andres Fernando ES, Andres Mariano ES, Apolonia F. Rafael ES, Canumay East ES, and Malinta Elementary School. foe being the host school in today's RSP activity.
