Our dedicated Barangay Tanods in Masayan actively perform their duties every day to help ensure the safety and security of our community. They conduct regular patrols, enforce the curfew, and monitor different areas—especially around schools—to help protect our children and maintain peace and order.

Under the leadership of Hon. Merry Christ Masalta, Chairperson of the Committee on Peace and Order, the BLGU Council remains committed to keeping the Masayan community safe and secure for everyone.

Yesterday's Activity | July 2, 2026

The Barangay Local Government Unit of Masayan, headed by Hon. Jose Rick Orbino, proudly celebrates the successful culmination of the 52nd Nutrition Month Celebration.

This year's celebration served as a reminder that good nutrition and environmental stewardship go hand in hand in building healthier families and a stronger community. One of the highlights of the celebration was the Community Feeding Program conducted for our senior citizens, pregnant women, children aged 0–5 years, and persons with disabilities (PWDs).The celebration also featured an informative health lecture on Hypertension and Diabetes conducted by Dr. Gemma Lou Y. Otacan, Municipal Health Officer. The session provided valuable knowledge on disease prevention, healthy lifestyle practices, and the importance of proper nutrition in reducing the risk of non-communicable diseases. Through education and community engagement, we continue to empower our residents to make healthier choices and improve their overall well-being. These are among the commitments of BLGU Masayan in promoting proper nutrition and ensuring that vulnerable members of our community receive the care and support they deserve. Through activities like this, we continue to strengthen our collective effort toward a healthier, more inclusive, and nutrition-secure Barangay Masayan.

Through the active participation of our residents, schools, partner agencies, and Barangay health workers headed by Ma'am Perla C. Tiron, and stakeholders, we witnessed the spirit of unity, cooperation, and commitment toward achieving a healthier Barangay Masayan.

Joint Meeting of the Barangay Nutrition Council (BNC) and Barangay Health Board (BHB)

The Barangay Nutrition Council (BNC) and Barangay Health Board (BHB) convened for a joint meeting to discuss pressing health issues and concerns affecting the community. The meeting also focused on the planning and preparation for the upcoming 52nd Nutrition Month Celebration, with the goal of promoting better nutrition, health awareness, and active community participation.

Together, we remain committed to building a healthier and more resilient barangay through collaborative planning and meaningful action.

Another milestone for Barangay Masayan!✨🥳

We are deeply honored and grateful to be recognized as a Best Performing USAD Barangay Award – Finalist during the Naligayan Festival 2026 at Datu Lipus Makapandong.

This achievement is not just an award for the barangay, but a result to the hard work, unity, and dedication of everyone who continuously supports and strengthens our agricultural programs.

Our heartfelt thanks go to all our USAD Farmers, whose perseverance and commitment remain the foundation of this success. Your hard work in the fields and active participation in every agricultural endeavor inspire us to keep striving for excellence.

We also extend our sincere appreciation to Ma’am Analyn Ayco, Agriculture Technician Designate, and our dedicated Barangay Agriculture Workers Mr. Elmer Pangantihon, Mr. Marcelino Berina, Mrs. Josephine Orbino, and Mrs. Patricia Cuysona, for their tireless efforts and commitment in serving our community.

To Punong Barangay Jose Rick C. Orbino, thank you for your unwavering support and for ensuring that our agricultural office is equipped with the resources needed to effectively serve our farmers. To the BLGU Officials, especially Hon. Alfredo E. Sedero, Committee Chair on Agriculture, thank you for your dedication and continued support of our agricultural initiatives.
