AVISO PUBLICO| Pursuant to City Ordinance No. 2026-2025, which further amends Section 13 of City Ordinance No. 92-014, otherwise known as the Real Property Tax Code of the City of Zamboanga, as amended by City Ordinance No. 2020-190, the 10% prompt RPT payment discount shall be removed, while the advance payment discount for tax year 2027 shall be reduced from 20% to 10%, provided payment shall be made on or before March 31, 2026.

Quarterly prompt payment discount shall likewise be removed.

The updated RPT discount rates shall take effect on February 28, 2026.

LOOK| Prohibited types of firecrackers and pyrotechnic devices as stipulated under the 2012 Revised IRR of Republic Act No. 71.

Based on Ordinance 632, the city shall continue to regulate all forms of firecrackers in accordance with the provisions of RA 7183, otherwise known as the “Act Regulating the Sale, Manufacture, Distribution, and Use of Firecrackers and other Pyrotechnic Devices,” its Implementing Rules and Regulations, and other circulars or issuances issued by competent authorities.

AVISO PUBLICO| The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP)– Zamboanga International Airport will conduct a FULL-SCALE EMERGENCY SIMULATION EXERCISE from 9am to 12nn on Friday December 5, 2025 at the KCC Motorcycle Parking Area in Gov. Camins in line with its mandated emergency preparedness and response framework.

The exercise will involve a simulated air crash incident occurring outside airport premises, resulting to fire with visible flames and smoke. Fire trucks, ambulances and response teams from various agencies and partner hospitals will be mobilized and seen operating within the area. The public is advised to remain calm and to avoid panic.

In line with this, the Mayor Vitaliano Agan Street- Extension (from KCC Mall open field parking area to La Gran Restaurant in Sta. Maria) will be temporarily closed from 9am to 12nn on Dec. 5 to pave way for the simulation exercise, pursuant to EO KHYM 087-2025.
