|| Fire Safety Tips ||

When fire breaks out, staying calm and knowing what to do can save lives. A fire extinguisher is your first line of defense against small fires — but only if used correctly and safely. 🧯

Remember: T.P.A.S.S

🔸 T- TWIST the pin to break the safety seal.

🔸 P – PULL the pin straight out to prepare the extinguisher for use.

🔸 A – AIM the nozzle at the base of the fire, not at the flames.

🔸 S – SQUEEZE the lever to release the extinguishing agent.

🔸 S – SWEEP the nozzle from side to side until the fire is completely out.

IMPORTANT FIRE EXTINGUISHER SAFETY TIPS:
✅ Stay about 6–8 feet away from the fire before using the extinguisher
✅ Always keep an exit behind you when indoors — never let the fire block your escape route
✅ When outdoors, stay upwind so smoke and flames blow away from you
✅ If the fire becomes too large or spreads quickly, evacuate immediately and call emergency services

Fire extinguishers are only effective when they are:
✅ Easy to access
✅ Regularly inspected
✅ Used correctly

A fire extinguisher can stop a small fire from becoming a major disaster.

Small actions today can prevent big disasters tomorrow.

The visit discussed the coordination between both agencies in ensuring operational safety and effective collaboration during the conduct of firefighting operations within the Area of Responsibility (AOR). Matters concerning safety protocols, communication, and mutual support during emergency incidents were also tackled to strengthen inter-agency partnership and public safety response.

This initiative highlights the commitment of both agencies in promoting a safer community through cooperation, preparedness, and efficient emergency response services.

IN PHOTOS || The Incoming Acting Station Commander of Ayala Fire Sub-Station, under the leadership of SFO1 Kaiser Ludwig G. Albrecht, together with the Shift B Duty Personnel, rendered an official courtesy visit to the officials of Barangay Tulungatung headed by Hon. Nelson F. Bigcas, Barangay Chairman; Ma’am Divina C. Ellurig, Barangay Secretary; and Ma’am Isnera E. Intoh, Barangay Treasurer.

The visit focused on the proposed establishment of a Fire Station in Barangay Tulungatung. Other matters discussed included plans and programs on Fire Safety Awareness, as well as the conduct of scheduled lectures and trainings aimed at equipping barangay personnel with essential knowledge and skills in fire prevention and emergency response.

This initiative strengthens the partnership between the Bureau of Fire Protection and the local government unit in promoting community preparedness, public safety, and effective disaster response. The Ayala Fire Sub-Station remains committed to fostering cooperation and delivering quality public service for the protection and welfare of the community.
