HOLIDAY | Wednesday, 27 May 2026, is declared a Regular Holiday throughout the country in observance of Eid’l Adha (Feast of Sacrifice). It is one of the most significant holidays in Islam, commemorating faith, sacrifice, and compassion.

The RCMB9 and its Pagadian Satellite Office shall resume onsite operation tomorrow, 28 May 2026.

ZAMBOANGA CITY – The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Region 9 conducted the High-Impact, High Visibility Inspection (HIHVI) Planning and Coordination Meeting for the Construction Sector on May 26, 2026, at LM Metro Hotel, Tetuan, Zamboanga City, with 18 participants attending onsite and 16 joining virtually via ZOOM Teleconference. Representatives from the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Regional- and District Engineering- Offices, Regional Conciliation and Mediation Board (RCMB), Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB), Employees Compensation Commission (ECC), ZamPen OSHNet and DOLE Field Offices participated in the activity.

The activity aimed to strengthen compliance with General Labor Standards (GLS), Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHS), and other applicable regulations in the construction sector through intensified, coordinated, and visible inspection activities. The initiative forms part of DOLE’s nationwide High-Impact, High-Visibility Inspection campaign focusing on priority sectors.

TUKURAN, ZDS | The Regional Conciliation and Mediation Branch 9 (RCMB9), through its Pagadian Satellite Office, conducted a Plant-level Enhancement Seminar on Labor-Management Cooperation (LMC) and Grievance Machinery (GM) for the management representatives and workers of Baclay Multi-Purpose Cooperative today, 26 May 2026.

The seminar highlighted the importance of active labor-management collaboration and a functional Grievance Machinery in fostering industrial peace, preventing workplace conflicts, and encouraging early resolution of concerns.

The National Conciliation and Mediation Board warmly congratulates and welcomes 𝐀𝐭𝐭𝐲. 𝐅𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐬 "𝐓𝐨𝐥" 𝐓𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐨 on his appointment as Secretary of Labor!
