Graduate School Admission Test (GSAT) Schedule and Requirements

Reminders to all applicants:

1. Complete requirements must be submitted upon application. Those with incomplete requirements will not be entertained.

2. Fully and partially vaccinated examinees can present their vaccination cards in lieu of the barangay clearance and medical certificate. However, examinees who are not vaccinated yet are required to present a medical certificate issued by a licensed physician and a barangay clearance, both issued within 14 days from the exam day.

3. There is no online application and application through a proxy is not allowed either.

4. All exams will be administered physically/face-to-face subject to the strict observance of minimum health protocols.

2021 Labor Day Trabaho Negosyo Kabuhayan Virtual Job Fair
Mayo Uno sa bagong panahon- Manggagawa at Mamamayan Babangon, Susulong!

This year’s Labor Day celebration was anchored on the theme Mayo Uno sa bagong panahon- Manggagawa at Mamamayan Babangon, Susulong! To help the country rise above the challenges brought about by the pandemic, marked with perseverance and resiliency, DOLE 9 conducted series of activities to commemorate its 119th Labor Day celebration.

Among the highlights of the 2021 Labor Day was the conduct of a Virtual and Blended Trabaho, Negosyo Kabuhayan (TNK) Job Fair at KCC Mall de Zamboanga which was participated by 13 local and 7 overseas employers and 2,018 applicants registered. The virtual job fair was in partnership with Jobstreet a job search virtual platform in the Philippines. There were also two hundred sixteen (216) applicants who dropped their applications in the dropped boxes located in KCC Mall. All applications were collected and sent to employers for their screening and interview process. Out of six hundred fifty-seven (657) applicants interviewed, three hundred ninety-four (394) applicants were qualified, one hundred sixty-eight (168) were near hires and seventy-four (74) applicants were hired on the spot.

TESDA was also present during the activity to provide virtual Training for work scholarship program while DTI had a one-on-one Consultancy and Entrepreneurial Services for MSMEs. A total of thirty-nine (39) applicants applied for a training scholarship with TESDA while five (5) jobseekers availed of the one-on-one consultation with DTI.

Another highlight was the turnover of various livelihood starter kits namely, Negokarts, Food preparation, Carpentry and Sewing to 120 beneficiaries together with the awarding of Livelihood check in the amount of P750,525.00 to barangay Baluno held at the Zamboanga Economic Zone, Talisayan, Zamboanga City.

As part of the 2021 Labor Day Celebration conducted last May 1, 2021, 10 employees representing the Regional Tripartite Industrial Peace Council were identified to represent their respective sectors to participate in the symbolic jump start of the vaccination program of government in the region. Sectors being represented are the Women and those from the Informal sector, Fishing and Canning Industry, Manpower and Security, Tourism (Maritime, Hotel and Restaurant, Transportation), Education, Information, Communications and Technology, Wholesale and Retail. Activity was conducted in partnership with the City Health Office of Zamboanga City and the Department of Health 9.
Other activities included in the celebration are the renewal of commitment of the social accord for industrial peace and the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement for the Project HOPE-Adopt a Farm Project.

All undertakings were conducted with strict compliance to IATF guidelines on COVID -19 and are just few of the series of month-long activities which aims to honor the workforce especially our frontliners.-end/ajcb

Multipartite Dialogue with ATS-Passenger Terminal Services Management and Union Representatives succesfully completed.

The long-standing issues affecting ATS-PTS Management and Basilan Stevedoring and Dockhandlers Union (BSDU) were amicably resolved through sincere and effective dialogue conducted at the LM Metro Hotel today.

The Dialogue process engaged the involvment of PPA Port Manager Engr. Arcidi S. Jumaani and Officials, NCMB-RCMB 9 Director Feliciano Orihuela Jr., , Union Representatives and the Owner/Manager through DOLE 9's facilitation.

The inputs, perspective and insights of all the actors involved bridged opposing interests and framed the agreement between Management and Union.

The output of the dialogue as contained in the agreement signed by the Management and Union representatives put closure to unresolved claims on adjustment of wages; separation pay: implementation of retrenchment: and established the proper forum to resolve issues and disputes.

On February 10, 2021, DOLE9 conducts maiden Training and Advisory Visit (TAV) in Zamboanga City.

Dubbed TAV version 2.0, the meeting with remittance centers operating throughout Zamboanga Peninsula is DOLE9's strategy to ensure that all establishments to be covered for routine inspection are assisted towards achieving compliance to all labor standards.

The activity is an industry-wide approach aimed at ensuring that all establishments doing similar business are subjected to DOLE9's inspection, and is preliminary for the on-site ocular inspection.

DOLE9 regional director, Atty. Roy L. Buenafe himself discusses the salient points on Contracting and Subcontracting.

Engr. Wesley D. Tan, chief of the Technical Support and Services Division presented the indicators looked into during inspection and the documentary evidences required for presentation.

All other establishments lined up for inspection this year shall be subjected to TAV through DOLE9's field offices.

DOLE9's all set to inspect!

The Department of Labor and Employment, Regional Office No. 9 on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 gathered in Zamboanga City all of its labor inspectors, hearing officers and field office heads for a briefing before the start of its 2021 inspection activities.

The activity set the direction for inspection of priority establishments, to include the conduct of Training and Advisory Visit. DOLE9 will continue its conduct of Joint Monitoring on compliance to COVID-19 Prevention and Control in the Workplace.
