Look. The Coast Guard Medical Clinic Southwestern Mindanao through CG MEPFORCE-SWM participated and provided medical team during the Mangrove Planting Activity.
The said activity was conducted in connection with the upcoming 122nd PCG Anniversary.
With this activity, the PCG Personnel and the community help build awareness and the importance of mangrove by providing valuable flood protection and risk reduction benefits caused by floods to both and property by its act as natural barrier .

-Physically and mentally qualified for Coast Guard Service

Look: CG COMMO MARCO ANTONIO P GINES, District Commander of Coast Guard District Southwestern Mindanao, and West Metro Medical Center represented by Mr Paulo Vincent A Torres, Chief Operating Officer, had a consultative meeting on the proposed Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) last 08 February 2023.
This endeavor aims to ensure access of PCG personnel and their dependents to health care services especially during emegency cases.
Also present in the meeting are the following: CG CDR EVELYN VERGANIO-MONROY, Acting Chief of Staff and Legal Officer, CG LTSG FREDDIE C COMBO and CG LTJG PRINCESS JOY RAMOS, representatives from Coast Medical Clinic-SWM and CG ENS JOHN JOEREY DC ISRAEL, representative from Coast Guard Nursing Service-SWM.

LOOK
The Coast Guard Medical Clinic-Southwestern Mindanao (MEDC-SWM) together with Coast Guard Nursing Service-Southwestern Mindanao (CGNS-SWM) facilitated the lecture on Basic Life Support, First Aid, Bandaging and Patient’s Carry to fifty-two (52) students composed of ZamboSur PDRRMO Staff and resort attendants. Said lecture is part of their Water Search and Rescue (WASAR) Training which was conducted by Special Operations Group-Southwestern Mindanao (SOG-SWM) last 12 to 17 November 2022 at Donel’s Beach Resort, Tukuran, Zamboanga Del Sur.

LOOK: The Coast Guard Medical Clinic- Southwestern Mindanao (MEDC-SWM) thru its Medical First Aid Station-Zamboanga (MEDFAS-ZAM) together with Coast Guard Nursing RTC-Zambo conducted lecture on Emergency Medical Action to forty-one (41) trainees of Special Weapon and Tactics (SWAT) of PNP Training Service last 04-05 October 2022 at Zambo Ecozone, Sinubong, Zamboanga City. The lecture includes First Aid and Medical Evacuation, Levels of Emergency Medical Action, Rapid Assessment and Application of Tactical Medical Action.

The Coast Guard Medical Clinic-Southwestern Mindanao together with CG Nursing-SWM conducted lecture on Basic Life Saving and provided standby medical team during the Water Search and Rescue (WASAR) Training of five (5) Officers and thirty (30) Non-Officers of Coast Guard District Southwestern Mindanao last 26 to 30 September 2022 at Sea Side Rio Hondo, Zamboanga City. The said training aims to equip personnel of this District with necessary knowledge and skills to effectively carry out PCG mandates on Search and Rescue.
