OUR SEAS. OUR RIGHTS. OUR FUTURE.

The Air Combat Command stands united with the AFP and the Filipino people in advancing the AFP Communication Plan "MULAT" for the West Philippine Sea .

Mulat means “awakened.” And that is what we must all be if we are to safeguard peace, stability, and prosperity for our nation. We must awaken not only the international community but more importantly, our fellow Filipinos, to the truth behind the lies, disinformation, and malign influence of the People’s Republic of China.

It is time to open our eyes to the reality that the Philippines’ security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity are under threat, and to embrace the call for patriotism, unity, and collective action in the face of PRC’s coercive activities in the WPS.

CLASH OF NARRATIVES: PHILIPPINES VS CHINA AT THE SEOUL DEFENSE DIALOGUE 2025 |
At the Seoul Defense Dialogue 2025, Defense Secretary Gilberto “Gibo” Teodoro Jr. delivered a strong message: sovereignty and security must stand on international law and unity with allies.
When a Chinese delegate dismissed the arbitral ruling, painted China as a “peace-loving” nation, and attacked alliances as “Cold War blocs,” Teodoro’s reply cut sharp:
“China had the golden opportunity if they had joined the arbitration… But they chose not to—maybe because they feared they might lose.”
This was more than words—it was a stand for Filipino dignity, fisherfolk’s safety, OFW protection, and peace in our region. From the Battle of Yultong to the West Philippine Sea, Filipino valor endures across generations. Share this video to show the world: Alliances protect communities. Sovereignty is non-negotiable.

HARASS, DENY, NORMALIZE: A WEEK IN THE WPS |
This week’s pattern was clear: two Chinese warships shadowed allied drills near Bajo de Masinloc, twenty militia vessels crowded contested waters, Beijing issued a so-called “safety advisory” painting the Philippines as unsafe, and even warned Manila not to “play with fire” after a trade visit by Taiwan’s foreign minister. None of these are isolated. Together, they form a deliberate playbook of pressure.
The Philippines is not without law or dignity. The 2016 Hague ruling already affirmed our sovereign rights under UNCLOS. Our Navy and Coast Guard continue to stand watch, and our partners train with us to uphold the rules-based order.
The BRP Sierra Madre still stands, weathered but unyielding, a sentinel of Filipino courage. See the pattern. Share the truth. Defend what is ours.

China can bark, threaten, and throw tantrums — but the Republic of the Philippines does not kneel to fear, favors, or foreign dictates.
We respect diplomacy, but we will never surrender our right to engage the world on our own terms.
• Economic cooperation is not a license to bully.
• Cultural exchange is not a tool to silence.
• Friendship is not ownership.
• Assistance is not submission.
We are a sovereign people — not a puppet state.
✊ DEFEND OUR RIGHT TO CHOOSE.
✊ DEFEND OUR FREEDOM TO ACT.
✊ DEFEND THE DIGNITY OF THE FILIPINO.

HOW CHINA TESTS THE PHILIPPINES | Every week, raises the pressure on the — not only in our seas, but also in our feeds. This is more than a territorial dispute. It is a battle of narratives, where harassment on the waves is paired with distortion in the media.
Last week, Chinese vessels swarmed Ayungin. A tugboat loitered dangerously close to the BRP Sierra Madre, our weathered but unyielding sentinel of sovereignty. Beijing warned that the Philippines would “bear consequences” simply for telling the truth. Meanwhile, troll networks twisted Senate debates and even domestic issues to erode public trust.
But the Philippines also stood firm — reminding us that sovereignty is not just about maps, but about protecting lives and livelihoods. The 2016 Hague ruling already affirmed these waters are ours. Defending the West Philippine Sea is about food on the table, safety at sea, and the dignity of every Filipino family.
Stay vigilant. Share the truth. Defend what is ours.

AYUNGIN STANDING STRONG | At Ayungin Shoal, Chinese ships and drones circle BRP Sierra Madre to intimidate. But our soldiers stand firm — proof that Philippine sovereignty cannot be erased.
Last week, the Philippines showed strength in restraint, stood shoulder-to-shoulder with allies in Exercise ALON, and gained renewed support for the rule of law at sea.
The West Philippine Sea is not just about ships — it’s about protecting our fisherfolk, our food, and our future as a nation.
