WATER RATIONING SCHEDULE 007 and 008
MARCH 2024 SCHEDULE
• Starting March 12, 2024, the ZCWD will implement water rationing schedule scheme 2 at the East Coast and some parts of Central areas (Pasonanca WTP-served areas). See schedule (WITH WATER). The schedule is subject to change depending on the availability of supply.
• This in response to the low water level at the Pasonanca Water Treatment Plant due lack of rainfall in the area. ZCWD diversion weir water level is down to 74.00m as to the normal water level of 74.20m
• ZCWD management appeals to customers in the affected areas to use water judiciously at this time and for patience and understanding as measures are put in place to address the water shortage.

WATER RATIONING SCHEDULE 007 and 008
MARCH 2024 SCHEDULE
Starting February 3, 2024, the ZCWD implemented water rationing at the East Coast and some parts of Central areas (Pasonanca WTP-served areas). See schedule (WITH WATER). This is due to a 10% to 20% reduction from normal production of Pasonanca WTP due to the PAGASA-declared El Niño affecting the Tumaga River. The intermittent rains have not brought the raw water supply to normal operating levels. · Water deliveries in the affected will be intensified.

HOLIDAY ADVISORY| THURSDAY, February 8, 2024 is a Muslim Legal Holiday in observance of ‘Isra Wal Mi’raj’, Prophet Mohammad’s Night Journey and Ascension pursuant to Presidential Decree 1083 otherwise known as Muslim Code of the Philippines and affirmed through a memorandum issued by the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos-9 (NCMF-9) last January 26, 2024.

Based on PD 1083, the areas covered in the Muslim holiday declaration are the provinces of Basilan, Lanao del Norte, Lanao del Sur, Maguindanao, North Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, Sulu, Tawi-tawi, Zamboanga del Norte and Zamboanga del Sur and the cities of Cotabato, Iligan, Marawi, Pagadian and Zamboanga City.

The February 8 holiday is in addition to the declaration of Friday, Feb. 9, as an additional special non-working day (Chinese New Year) in the country pursuant to Proclamation No. 453 and Saturday, February 10, a special non-working day in celebration of Chinese New Year by virtue of Proclamation No. 368.

Meanwhile, February 26, the 87th Dia de la Ciudada de Zamboanga is also expected to be a holiday in Zamboanga City, subject to the issuance of a Presidential Proclamation.

TRAFFIC ADVISORY ❗️
AVISO PUBLICO | Bagsakan-Sta. Cruz-Camins Road will be CLOSED from 10PM to 5AM, January 18 to March 12, 2024 to pave way for DPWH-9’s launching of girder in connection with the construction of the flyover in Bagsakan-Sta. Cruz, Gov. Camins, MCLL Highway, and Veterans Avenue.

The Zamboanga City Traffic Operation Management (ZCTOM) in a meeting recently approved DPWH-9’s proposed project timeframe to wit:
1. ROAD CLOSURE IN GOV. CAMINS – January 18 to March 12, 2024
2. MCLL HIGHWAY SIDE (within the project limits) – March 14 to May 12, 2024
Please note however, that the road closure will not be every night of the inclusive dates.

Please be guided accordingly.
