ZAMBOANGA MARITIME POLICE SEIZE ASSORTED ILLICIT SMUGGLED CI******ES
ZAMBOANGA CITY – 01:00 PM on June 3, 2026, personnel of the Zamboanga City Maritime Police Station (lead unit), under the direct supervision of PMAJ AIMAN J. KAMLON, together with RMU9-RSOT and 1st ZCMFC, responded to a report from a concerned citizen regarding the loading of alleged illicit ci******es into a CERES Bus Liner at the above-mentioned location.
Upon arrival at the area, the operating team spot one (1) black minivan parked in front of HM Hotel while apparently waiting for the arrival of CERES Bus Liner. The driver was seen outside the vehicle acting suspiciously. When the driver opened the passenger-side door, the team observed several assorted, illicit, smuggled ci******es in plain view. This prompted the team to conduct further inspection, which resulted in the discovery of suspected illicit ci******es inside the vehicle.
The suspects, together with the confiscated items, were brought to the Headquarters, Regional Maritime Unit 9, located at Baliwasan Seaside, Zamboanga City, for proper documentation and disposition.
