On November 11, 2023 at 9:30 o’clock in the morning, Pat Roxanne C Areno, RPSMU Focal person CIDG RFU9, conducted Drug Prevention Education to the selected students of Southcom National High School, Zamboanga City.
The drug prevention education program served a dual purpose of informing and empowering high school students in their understanding of the risks associated with drug abuse. Through engaging educational sessions, interactive workshops, and real-life testimonials, the program aimed to increase awareness about the physical and mental health consequences of substance abuse. Simultaneously, it sought to equip students with the necessary skills to resist peer pressure, make informed decisions, and contribute to the creation of a drug-free school environment.
Furthermore, the event aimed to not only educate students about the dangers of drug abuse but also inspire a collective commitment to building a supportive and resilient community resistant to the challenges posed by substance misuse.
The said activity ended at 11:30 o’clock in the morning on the same date.

On October 5, 2023 at 10:00 o’clock in the morning, under the supervision of PCOL JOHN FRANCIS P ENCINAREAL, RC, CIDG RFU9, Patrolwoman Roxanne C Areno, Focal Person PSMU, CIDG RFU 9, conducted a lecture on “Violent Extremism and Radicalization in the Community” to the probationers, parolees, and pardonees of Parole and Probation Administration Regional Office IX at Entablado de Maria Clara Lobregat, Barangay Pasonanca, Zamboanga City. The purpose of the lecture on Violent Extremism and Radicalization in the Community is to educate participants, particularly probationers, parolees, and pardonees, about the concepts, risks, and consequences of violent extremism and radicalization. This educational effort aims to raise awareness, promote dialogue, and equip individuals with the knowledge and tools to recognize and counteract extremist ideologies within their communities. Ultimately, the goal is to foster community resilience, reduce the potential for radicalization, and contribute to a safer and more secure environment.
The said activity ended at 12.00 o’clock in the afternoon on the same date.

On September 8, 2023 at 1:00 o'clock in the afternoon, Dr. Renhar Idris, RAG 9 member, and Dean of Criminology of Southern City Colleges, conducted a seminar on Importance of Leadership in Workplace and Conflict Management with the CIDG RFU9 personnel.
Dr. Idris, a distinguished authority in the field, commenced the seminar by delving into the fundamental elements of effective leadership. He emphasized that genuine leadership extends beyond wielding authority; it's about inspiring and guiding teams towards success.
In addition to leadership, the seminar offered invaluable insights into managing workplace conflicts constructively. Given that conflicts are an inevitable part of any organizational setting, understanding how to navigate and resolve them emerged as a critical skillset for fostering harmonious working relationships.
The seminar was not a one-way lecture but a dynamic exchange of ideas. Engaging discussions and interactive workshops allowed participants to actively engage, share their experiences, and explore practical applications of the principles discussed.

On August 2, 2023, at CIDG RFU9 Camp Brigadier General Eduardo B Batalla, located on Justice RT Lim Boulevard in Zamboanga City, Ms. Alvin Toni Gee Fernandez, the founder of Mujer-LGBT Organization, Inc., and also the Vice-Chairperson of CIDG Regional Advisory Group 9, conducted an insightful and engaging lecture that delved into the complex realm of Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, and Expression (SOGIE). The intended beneficiaries of this enlightening session were the esteemed personnel of CIDG RFU9, who had the privilege of participating in a comprehensive discourse designed to foster a deeper comprehension of the intricate intricacies surrounding SOGIE-related issues. Ms. Alvin Toni Gee Fernandez's expertise illuminated the significance of embracing diversity and inclusion within the context of law enforcement and community engagement, effectively promoting an environment of empathy, respect, and equitable treatment.

On March 2, 2023, personnel of CIDG RFU9 under the supervision of PCOL JOHN FRANCIS P ENCINAREAL, Regional Chief, RFU9, conducted orientation in R.A. 7877 otherwise known as "Anti-Sexual Harassment Act of 1995" with the Local Government Unit Staff of Isabela City, Basilan.
