🦸‍♀️ Future Eco-Heroes! Recodo Elementary School Embraces Waste Segregation! 💚

What an amazing afternoon for a lesson in responsibility!

Today, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, Barangay Recodo successfully held a critical "Segregation at Source" Orientation for the bright young minds of Recodo Elementary School!

Under the guidance of Punong Barangay Kennyverl A. Ijin and Solid Waste Management Committee Head Kagawad Gamar "Gams" Alih, and in collaboration with the Office of the City Environment and Natural Resources (OCENR), our students learned how to properly manage trash right at home and at school.

The halls were filled with energy as our Grade 1 to Grade 6 pupils participated, showing enthusiasm that makes us proud!

A big thank you to the Teachers, Class Advisers, and Parents for joining us and showing your commitment to raising responsible, environment-friendly children.

This program is a crucial step in fulfilling City Mayor Hon. Khymer Olaso 's mandate to implement the "No Segregation, No Collection Policy." By teaching our youngest residents today, we are securing a cleaner, greener Recodo for tomorrow!

Let's empower our pupils to be the guardians of our environment!

✨Successful Public Safety Initiative: Dog Catching Concluded in Recodo! 🐶🐕

Action taken! This morning, October 23, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, the collaborative stray dog catching operation was successfully completed, making our streets safer for everyone.

This necessary initiative was carried out by the City Veterinary Office in partnership with the Barangay Council of Recodo, headed by Punong Barangay Kennyverl A. Ijin, and strongly supported by Kagawad Gamar Alih.

The team, which included the Barangay Staff, Barangay Tanod, and dedicated Volunteers, focused on high-complaint areas:

➡️Purok 1B

➡️Purok 5A

This is our direct answer to the concerns and complaints from residents regarding the risks associated with stray dogs and dog bites.

⚠️ A Reminder for Responsible Pet Owners:

We urge all residents to practice responsible pet ownership by keeping your dogs securely confined or leashed at all times. This prevents them from being rounded up during these public safety operations.

We assure the community that another dog catching activity is being planned soon to cover the remaining areas of the barangay.
