General information

The Tedurays who settled in Zamboanga City and the surrounding areas had finally organized themselves during a General Tribal Assembly on April 17, 2009 and applied with the Office of the National Commission for Indigenous Peoples
to be recognized as one of the six indigenous peoples in this city. Although the Tedurays are natives of Maguindanao, Sultan Kudarat and Cotabato City, many decided to stay in this city, a fact that is not commonly known to ordinary Zamboangueños.
