IN PHOTOS | Civil Military Operation Unit- Western Mindanao joins the nation commemorating National Flag Day every 28 May, honoring the country’s national flag and the historic first unfurling following the Battle of Alapan in 1898.

This observance also marks the beginning of the National Flag Days period, which runs until 12 June, the celebration of Philippine Independence Day. During this time, Filipinos are encouraged to proudly and respectfully display the Philippine flag in government offices, schools, business establishments, public spaces, and homes as a symbol of love for country, patriotism, nationalism, unity, and national pride.
