𝟐𝐧𝐝 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐨𝐦𝟐𝟓𝟎 𝐋𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬

The 2nd Freedom250 Lecture Series, titled “Samuel Adams: Leadership, Legacy, and the American Revolution,” was held on March 26, 2026, at the American Corner Zamboanga.

The session discussed the life and legacy of Samuel Adams, one of the Founding Fathers of the United States. It highlighted his role as a leader, his ideas on freedom, and his contribution to the American Revolution. The discussion reminded participants of the importance of courage, active citizenship, and commitment to democratic values.

We sincerely thank our resource speaker, Rovic John Eslao, for sharing his knowledge and guiding the participants through the topic.

We also thank the 41 participants who attended the lecture, and our partner, La Liga Historia Zamboangueña, for their support in making the event successful.

Swiftie energy was in full swing at American Corner Zamboanga as we celebrated American music excellence in style! Held on March 21, 2026, in collaboration with Zamboanga City Swifties, this even was part of the Freedom 250 celebration marking the 250th founding anniversary of the United States.

From country roots to global pop dominance, participants explored Taylor Swift's iconic journey - diving into her storytelling, creative evolution, and cultural impact.

20 enthusiastic participants joined the fun, engaging in lively discussion and interactive activities on themes of identity, creativity, and innovation in American music.

It was a half-day full of music, insights, and Swiftie vibes - celebrating not just a global icon, but the power of music to connect, inspire, and tell stories that matter.

In celebration of the 250th anniversary of the United States, American Corner Zamboanga brought the stage to life with Voices of a Nation: An Open Mic Celebration of American Values and Culture on March 19, 2026.

Two talented performers took the spotlight and delivered powerful spoken poetry, sharing their unique perspectives on American values, society, history, and culture. Through heartfelt words and creative expression, they sparked reflection and appreciation among the audience.

Both performers received certificates and exciting tokens from American Spaces Philippines.

The event was attended by 10 enthusiastic students, creating a supportive and engaging atmosphere throughout the program.

A true celebration of voices, creativity, and culture.

The library proudly features an origami display created by students from the Art Appreciation class under the guidance of Dr. Claribel Concepcion. The exhibit shows the students’ creativity, patience, and skill in turning simple paper into beautiful designs such as animals, flowers, and shapes. It reminds us that the library is not only a place for studying but also a space for creativity and expression.
