ZCPO Conducts PULISTENIKS Program to Promote Fitness and Teamwork

PBGEN Esguerra Visits 1st ZCMFC
PBGEN DENNIS A. ESGUERRA, Officer-in-Charge of Police Regional Office 9 (PRO9), was warmly welcomed by PCOL FIDEL B. FORTALEZA JR., City Director of the Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO), and PLTCOL JOEL A. SENOGAT JR., Force Commander, together with the personnel of the 1st Zamboanga City Mobile Force Company (1st ZCMFC), during his visit to the unit headquarters.
A foyer honor was rendered to PBGEN Esguerra as a sign of respect and recognition for his leadership. During the visit, he also signed the guest book and had the opportunity to meet and interact with the personnel. The visit highlighted the unit's commitment to professionalism, teamwork, and support for the programs and initiatives of PRO9.

ZCPO and 1st ZCMFC Enhance Counter-Terrorism Preparedness Through 5-Day Seminar
On June 2, 2026, the Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO), in coordination with the 1st Zamboanga City Mobile Force Company (1st ZCMFC), conducted the Closing Ceremony of the 5-Day Counter-Terrorist Operation (CTO) Refresher Seminar at the Conference Room of 1st ZCMFC, Sta. Barbara, Zamboanga City. Present during the activity were PBGEN DENNIS A. ESGUERRA, OIC, PRO9, as the keynote speaker; PCOL FIDEL B. FORTALEZA, JR., City Director; PMAJ ALBERT R. ALFARO, Acting Chief, CARMU; unit officials, and the twenty-four (24) participating personnel of 1st ZCMFC.
In his message, PBGEN Esguerra highlighted the importance of professionalism, discipline, and operational readiness in addressing terrorism-related threats and other security challenges. He encouraged the participants to continuously improve their skills and apply the lessons learned from the seminar in the performance of their duties.
The seminar officially started on May 28, 2026, with an opening ceremony where PLTCOL MENDEL S. CASAO, Deputy City Director for Administration served as the guest speaker on behalf OF PCOL FIDEL B. FORTALEZA, JR. During the five-day training, participants underwent refresher lectures and practical exercises designed to enhance their knowledge and capabilities in counter-terrorism operations. The successful completion of the seminar further strengthened the preparedness and effectiveness of 1st ZCMFC personnel in carrying out their mission of maintaining peace, order, and public safety.

ZCPO Supports Schools Through Brigada Eskwela Paint Donation
The Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) continues to show its support for education by donating two (2) gallons of paint to San Jose Gusu Elementary School for the Brigada Eskwela Program. The donation was received by Ms. Romelyn P. Oas, Teacher III and Brigada Eskwela Coordinator, to help improve and prepare school facilities for the opening of classes.
This simple initiative helps create a cleaner and more welcoming environment for students and teachers. It also reflects ZCPO’s ongoing support for local schools and its commitment to working with the community.

PBGEN Esguerra Holds Command Conference with ZCPO Command Group and Staff
PBGEN DENNIS A. ESGUERRA, Officer-in-Charge of Police Regional Office 9 (PRO9), convened a Command Conference with PCOL FIDEL B. FORTALEZA JR., City Director of the Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO), together with the members of the ZCPO Command Group and Staff. The conference focused on the assessment of the city's peace and order situation, operational accomplishments, ongoing law enforcement initiatives, and the implementation of key programs and directives of the Philippine National Police.
During the conference, PBGEN Esguerra provided strategic guidance and emphasized the importance of operational preparedness, discipline, accountability, and community-oriented policing in delivering quality public service. He likewise underscored the need to sustain intensified anti-criminality efforts, strengthen police visibility, and enhance coordination among units to ensure the continued safety, security, and well-being of the residents of Zamboanga City.

ZCPO, City Director Welcomes PBGEN ESGUERRA During Official Visit
PBGEN DENNIS A. ESGUERRA, Officer-in-Charge of PRO9, visited the Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) Headquarters and was warmly welcomed by PCOL FIDEL B. FORTALEZA JR., City Director and ZCPO personnel. Upon his arrival, he was accorded foyer honors, reflecting the respect and appreciation of the ZCPO personnel for the regional leadership and its continued support for the city police force.
As part of the visit, PBGen Esguerra took part in the traditional banging of the gong, a symbolic gesture of unity and strong partnership between PRO9 and ZCPO. He also signed the guestbook, highlighting the shared commitment of both offices to work together in maintaining peace and order and ensuring public safety in Zamboanga City.
PBGen Esguerra also conducted a “Talk to Men” session where he met with ZCPO personnel and shared words of encouragement and guidance. The activity gave officers and staff the opportunity to hear directly from their regional leadership, boosting morale and reinforcing the importance of teamwork, professionalism, and dedication in serving the community.

ZCPO Joins June 2026 Flag-Raising Ceremony at City Hall
PCOL FIDEL B FORTALEZA JR., City Director of the Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO), led ZCPO personnel in joining the traditional flag-raising ceremony held on June 1, 2026, at the grounds of Zamboanga City Hall. The ceremony brought together officials and employees of the Local Government Unit of Zamboanga City, reinforcing the values of patriotism, unity, and commitment to public service among government workers.
The participation of ZCPO reaffirmed its support for activities that strengthen cooperation and teamwork among government agencies. The event also highlighted the strong partnership between the LGU and ZCPO as they continue working together to maintain peace and order, improve public safety, and provide better services to the people of Zamboanga City.

The activity aimed to honor and remember individuals affected by HIV and AIDS while promoting awareness, compassion, and solidarity within the community.
