As the 2026 Hajj season draws to a close, Secretary Sabuddin N. Abdurahim, serving as ๐๐บ๐ถ๐ฟ๐๐น ๐๐ฎ๐ท๐ท, together with Consul General Rommel A. Romato, hosted a meaningful Hajj Night on behalf of the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF), the Philippine Hajj Mission, the Hajj Attachรฉ, and NCMF officials to honor the individuals and institutions whose support contributed to the successful conduct of this yearโs Hajj operations.
The gathering was attended by officials from the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), Philippine Ambassador Raymond R. Balatbat, government partners, service providers, esteemed Saudi friends and partners, as well as respected shuyukh who graciously shared their reflections, insights, and experiences from this yearโs Hajj journey.
Their cooperation, guidance, and commitment were instrumental in ensuring the welfare, spiritual enrichment, and smooth journey of our Filipino pilgrims.
As we celebrate this achievement, we also extend our deepest appreciation to the many dedicated men and women working behind the scenesโthose who may not be in the photographs but whose tireless efforts made a lasting impact. From the operations, transport, accommodation, logistics, airport, billeting, administrative, technical, and support teams, your long hours, sacrifices, and unwavering dedication were essential to the success of the Philippine Hajj Mission.
This accomplishment is the result of a collective effort, and every contribution, whether visible or unseen, has been invaluable.

Ang National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF) Region IX-A, sa ilalim ng liderato ni Regional Director Rhoasia S. Matolo-Mukaram, JD, sa pamamagitan ng Peace Building and Conflict Resolution (PBCR) Division, ay nakibahagi sa pagdiriwang ng 42nd Anniversary ng Silsilah Dialogue Movement at 40th Summer Course Alumni Gathering na ginanap noong Mayo 30, 2026 sa Silsilah Auditorium, Harmony Village, Pitogo, Sinunuc, Zamboanga City.
Dumalo sa nasabing aktibidad ang mga kawani ng PBCR kasama si OIC-CAD Chief Eddie Abdurajan bilang kinatawan ng Regional Office. Naging mahalagang pagkakataon ang pagtitipon upang isulong ang kultura ng dayalogo at kapayapaan, palakasin ang Christian-Muslim relations, hikayatin ang paggalang sa religious at cultural diversity, at suportahan ang mga peacebuilding initiatives na nagtataguyod ng pagkakaisa at pagkakaunawaan sa mga komunidad.
Pinagsama-sama rin ng okasyon ang mga alumni ng Silsilah Summer Course upang muling pagtibayin ang kanilang pagkakaibigan, magbahagi ng mga karanasan, at patuloy na palakasin ang kanilang commitment sa interfaith dialogue at pagsusulong ng kultura ng kapayapaan at pagkakaisa.
Dumalo rin sa pagdiriwang si Commissioner Bai A. Labi Sittie Aisha โBaiconโ Cayongcat-Nuska, NCMF Commissioner, Muslim Coordinator ng Silsilah Forum-Marawi, at isa ring alumna ng Silsilah Summer Course. Sa kanyang mensahe, binigyang-diin niya ang kahalagahan ng mas matibay na ugnayan at kolaborasyon sa pagitan ng NCMF at ng Silsilah Dialogue Movement upang higit pang mapaigting ang mga peace initiatives at mapanatili ang pagkakaisa at pagkakasundo sa mga komunidad.
Patuloy na naninindigan ang NCMF Region IX-A sa pagsuporta sa mga programa at pakikipag-ugnayan na nagtataguyod ng mutual understanding, interfaith cooperation, at pangmatagalang kapayapaan.

Through the collective efforts of NCMF Region IX-A and its partner agencies, essential PSA services were successfully brought closer to Muslim communities in Barangay Linguisan, Tungawan, Zamboanga Sibugay. By making birth registration and PhilSys enrollment more accessible, the activity enabled residents to secure vital civil registry documents and establish legal identity, important steps toward accessing government programs, social services, and other opportunities.
This initiative reflects the commitment of NCMF Region IX-A and its partner agencies to deliver inclusive, accessible, and people-centered services, particularly to communities in geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas. Through strengthened inter-agency collaboration and community engagement, government services are made more responsive to the needs of the people.
Together, we continue to bring government closer to the grassroots, ensuring that no community is left behind in the pursuit of inclusive growth and development.

Matolo-Mukaram, JD, matagumpay na naisagawa ng National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF) Region IX-A, sa pamamagitan ng Muslim Settlement Division (MSD) at katuwang ang Legal Affairs Division (LAD), ang 4th Leg of the 2026 Advocacy Campaign on Muslim Civil Registry and Vital Statistics (CRVS), Philippine Identification System (PhilSys), at Census of Population noong May 19, 2026 sa Covered Court ng Lali Alam Integrated School, Barangay Linguisan, Tungawan, Zamboanga Sibugay.
Isinagawa ang aktibidad sa pakikipagtulungan sa Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA)โSibugay Provincial Office, kasama ang suporta ng Municipal Local Civil Registrar ng Tungawan at Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT)โSibugay, sa koordinasyon ng Barangay Local Government Unit (BLGU) ng Linguisan sa ilalim ng pamumuno ni Punong Barangay Elias B. Alam.
Layunin ng advocacy campaign na mapalawak ang kaalaman ng komunidad tungkol sa kahalagahan ng tamang at napapanahong civil registration, access sa mga serbisyo ng PSA, mga usaping may kinalaman sa census, at ang mahahalagang probisyon ng Republic Act No. 11596 o Anti-Child Marriage Law at Republic Act No. 12160 o Philippine Islamic Burial Act.
Bilang pagkilala sa kanilang mahalagang kontribusyon at suporta, nagbigay rin ng plaques, certificates, at tokens of appreciation sa mga partner agencies at stakeholders.
Ang matagumpay na pagsasagawa ng aktibidad na ito ay patunay ng patuloy na pagpapalakas ng inter-agency collaboration at community engagement upang mas mailapit ang mahahalagang serbisyo ng pamahalaan sa grassroots communities.

Under the leadership of Regional Director Rhoaisa S. Matolo-Mukaram, JD, the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF) Region IX-A, through the Cultural Affairs Division headed by OIC-Chief Eddie A. Abdurajan, SCL, successfully conducted the Special Shariโah Bar Operations โ Day 2 (Final Day) for the 2026 Special Shariโah Bar Examination on May 27, 2026, at the Ateneo de Zamboanga University (ADZU) Testing Center.
The activity was conducted in coordination with personnel from the Supreme Court of the Philippines under Associate Justice Henri Jean Paul B. Inting, Chairperson of the 2026 Special Shariโah Bar Examination, and staff from the Office of the Bar Confidant who served as venue examinee supervisors.
Examinees from various areas across Mindanao, including Zamboanga, Basilan, Jolo, Tawi-Tawi, Pagadian, and Iligan, participated in the final day of the examination. Personnel were deployed as early as 4:00 AM to ensure smooth coordination, supervision, and assistance prior to the entry of examinees into the testing venue.
Strict adherence to examination protocols was observed throughout the activity, while continuous guidance and support were provided to examinees to ensure the orderly and dignified conduct of the final examination day. A designated prayer room was likewise provided by ADZU, allowing examinees to observe Salatul Eid (Eidโl Adha) at 6:00 AM without disrupting examination operations.
To formally conclude the support operations, the Cultural Affairs Division also conducted a simple โSalubongโ for examinees following the examination proper. The initiative served as an opportunity to personally welcome and congratulate the examinees upon completing the Special Shariโah Bar Examination. Light refreshments were likewise provided, while warm Eidโl Adha greetings and messages of encouragement were extended as expressions of appreciation, support, and solidarity following the rigorous examination process.
Through the coordinated efforts of all participating offices and personnel, the final day of the examination was successfully and peacefully concluded, reflecting strong inter-agency collaboration and efficient field ex*****on.
Overall, the operation successfully achieved its objective of providing assistance, supervision, and support to examinees during the final day of the 2026 Special Shariโah Bar Examination.

Under the leadership of Regional Director Rhoaisa S. Matolo-Mukaram, JD, the Medical Unit of the Administrative and Finance Division of the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF) Region IX-A, in coordination with EUROASIA Pharmaceuticals, Inc., successfully conducted its Semi-Annual Blood Testing Activity at the NCMF IX-A Main Building Function Hall.
The activity aimed to monitor the health condition of NCMF IX-A officials and personnel, particularly those with previous abnormal blood chemistry results, and to promote early detection and management of health concerns such as diabetes, hypertension, and other related conditions.
The health screening included fasting blood sugar, cholesterol, and uric acid testing, followed by medical consultation and diagnosis facilitated by Dr. Ramla A. Sandag-Jailani, Head of the Medical Unit. Participants were also provided with personalized medical advice and appropriate recommendations based on their results.
A total of thirty-four (34) personnel actively participated in the activity, including Regional Director Matolo-Mukaram, demonstrating the officeโs continued commitment to employee health and wellness.
The successful conduct of the activity reflects NCMF IX-Aโs dedication to fostering a healthy, productive, and service-oriented workforce.

Under the leadership of Regional Director Rhoaisa S. Matolo-Mukaram, JD, the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF) Region IX-A, through the Cultural Affairs Division, led by Eddie A. Abdurajan, SCL, successfully conducted the 2026 Special Shariโah Bar Operations โ Day 1 held on May 24, 2026, at the Ateneo de Zamboanga University (ADZU) Testing Center.
Examinees from various parts of Mindanao, including Zamboanga, Basilan, Jolo, Tawi-Tawi, Pagadian, and Iligan, gathered to take part in the Special Shariโah Bar Examination. To ensure the smooth and orderly conduct of the activity, the assisting team was deployed as early as 4:00 AM to provide guidance and support to the examinees prior to their entry into the testing venue.
Present during the activity were representatives from the NCMF Cultural Affairs Division Shariโah Training Secretariat, personnel from the Supreme Court of the Philippines under the leadership of Associate Justice Henri Jean Paul B. Inting, Chairperson of the 2026 Special Shariโah Bar Examination, and staff from the Office of the Bar Confidant who served as venue examinee supervisors.
