In light of the celebration of the Library and Information Services Month 2025, the National Commission for Culture and the Arts through the National Committee on Libraries and Information Services is launching the 2025 LISM Photovoice Project on Local Heritage Collections of Libraries in the Philippines.

For 2025, the Photovoice Project shall carry the theme for the LIS Month Celebration, “LACE-UP: Libraries – A Hub for Cultural Exploration and Unity through Partnership,” and highlight the significant role of libraries as inclusive spaces for cultural learning and meaningful collaboration.

This selection is a powerful testament to Dr. Asid’s unwavering commitment, visionary leadership, and groundbreaking dedication, recognizing his outstanding achievements across Significant Contributions, Professional Excellence, Leadership and Collaboration, and Community Engagement.

We are ecstatic to share that he formally received this well-deserved professional honor last November 25, 2025, during the Librarians and Awards Night at the PLAI National Congress in SMX Convention Center in Bacolod City.
