“God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have eternal life.” (John 3:16)

As we celebrate the Feast of the Most Holy Trinity — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — may we reflect on God’s great love that saves and sustains us. The Holy Trinity reminds us that God is a communion of love, mercy, and unity.

Today, we give glory and offer our lives to the Father, through the Son, in the Holy Spirit. May the love of God abound in our hearts and may the Holy Spirit guide us in all that we do, so that we may live with faith, compassion, and hope each day.

From drills and training sessions to teamwork and new friendships, the 29th Basic Sports Summer Camp officially wrapped up at the Joaquin F. Enriquez Memorial Sports Complex with a fun and meaningful closing ceremony for around 4,500 young athletes.

Vice Mayor Beng Climaco congratulated the young participants, proud parents, coaches, and the City Sports Division for the successful conduct of the summer program that promoted discipline, sportsmanship, teamwork, and healthy living among the youth.

She shared that programs like the Summer Sports Camp serve as an important starting point for young athletes who dream of one day representing Zamboanga City and the Philippines on bigger stages, including the Olympics.

See you again next summer for more sports, learning, and future champions in the making!

Vice Mayor Beng Climaco welcomed Commissioner Judge Maria Amifaith S. Fider-Reyes (Ret.) of the Commission on Human Rights during her visit to Zamboanga City.

The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss areas of cooperation between the City Government and the Commission on Human Rights, particularly on initiatives related to food security, the welfare of persons with disabilities, and health-related rights.

Vice Mayor Beng expressed appreciation for the Commission’s continuing work in advancing and protecting human rights, while Commissioner Fider-Reyes recognized the city’s efforts in promoting programs that support the welfare and well-being of Zamboangueños.

Also present were officials and representatives from the CHR Central Office and CHR Region IX.

Vice Mayor Beng Climaco joined city officials, government employees, members of the security sector, the Knights of Columbus, and other sectors during the observance of National Flag Days 2026 at Plaza Rizal.

The activity honored the Filipino spirit of patriotism, unity, and sacrifice, while reminding everyone of the importance of the Philippine flag as a symbol of freedom and nationhood.

Despite the challenges of our times, Filipinos continue to hope, stand strong, and rise together as one nation.
