Zarraga Fire Station headed by SFO2 Nemy John P Marañon, Acting Municipal Fire Marsha, conducted“Bumbyahero: Fuel-less Reminder”. It is an initiative that promotes both public safety and energy conservation dated 5 April 2026.

Instead of using fire trucks or vehicles, our dedicated firefighters go around barangays on bicycle to personally deliver important fire safety reminders. This approach not only saves fuel but also strengthens community engagement and makes awareness efforts more personal and impactful.

Zarraga Fire Station headed by SFO2 Nemy John P Marañon, Acting Municipal Fire Marshal, conducted a Fire Exit Drill at the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) Zarraga dated 31 March 2026.

The activity aimed to enhance the preparedness and responsiveness of BIR personnel in case of fire emergencies. Through the drill, participants were able to practice proper evacuation procedures, identify safe exit routes, and reinforce the importance of staying calm and alert during emergency situations.

Zarraga Fire Station conducted a Hazard Mapping Activity at Sitio Siwil, Barangay Poblacion Ilawod, Zarraga as part of its continuous commitment to community safety and disaster preparedness dated 28 March 2028.

The aimed to identify fire-prone areas, potential hazards, accessible water sources, and possible evacuation routes within the community. Zarraga Fire Station headed by SFO2 Nemy John P Marañon, Acting Municipal Fire Marshal, conducted a Talakayan sa Pamayanan aimed at strengthening fire safety awareness and community preparedness as part of Oplan Ligtas Na Pamayanan dated 28 March 2026.

This tackles the discussion on Exit Drill in the Home (EDITH), where residents were guided on how to create an effective home escape plan, identify exit routes, and ensure the safety of every family member during fire emergencies.

Also, a lecture and demonstration on the proper use of fire extinguisher was conducted, equipping participants with practical knowledge and confidence on how to respond during the early stage of fire.

Through these initiatives, the community is empowered with the right knowledge and skills to prevent and respond to fire incidents. Preparedness starts at home, and safety is a shared responsibility.
