THH strives for the political rights and entitlements of people belonging to the six districts that form the historic region of Hazara.
From small beginnings in 2005, the Tehreek Huqooq e Hazara is emerging as a citizen movement striving for the political rights and entitlements of people belonging to the six districts that form the historic region of Hazara. It also strives for quality education, healthcare, livelihood and justice for all people of Hazara. It believes in equal opportunities, equitable access to resources, account
able leadership, better representation, responsive governance, and the rule of law. With support from the Omar Asghar Khan Foundation the Tehreek Huqooq e Hazara has gained strength and developed into a powerful public platform: a living, vibrant symbol of the will of Hazarawals to change their destiny. By service and sacrifice the THH is enshrining itself in the hearts of people; by its refusal to submit to injustice it is building a powerful movement of resistance. It has dedicated itself to this sacred cause and in its name and under its banner innumerable men and women are taking personal risks and undergoing sufferings to redeem their pledge. THH is a people’s platform. It is open to all belonging to Hazara that share a vision for a region free from exploitation and where all individuals have equal opportunities. THH and its members since 2005 have been at the forefront of various people’s movements to demand justice. The history of the THH reflects collaborative efforts for the good of the people and unceasing struggle for the rights of the people of Hazara. In this struggle it has faced numerous crisis and repeatedly faced conflict with the might of those that wield power. Following peaceful methods, it has not only survived these conflicts but has gained new strength from them.
