In line with the GDA’s vision of a clean and green Galiyat, GDA technical staff held a meeting today at Raees Khana Hotel with hotel association.

During the meeting, GDA assured participants that its sanitation staff will collect trash door-to-door from each hotel. Hotel owners were strictly warned not to dispose of waste at the back of their hotels or in trenches, as this practice not only makes waste collection difficult but also damages the natural environment of Galiyat. In case of non-compliance, heavy fines will be imposed.

All stakeholders were urged to work together with GDA to preserve the natural beauty of Galiyat and keep it clean, green, and welcoming for tourists.

ایبٹ آباد: وزیرِ خزانہ خیبرپختونخوا نے سیاحتی مقام ٹھنڈیانی کا دورہ کیا جہاں انہوں نے جاری ترقیاتی منصوبوں کا تفصیلی جائزہ لیا۔ اس موقع پر ڈائریکٹر ٹیکنیکل گلیات ڈوپلمنٹ اتھارٹی انجینئر ارسلان شوکت، اسسٹنٹ ڈائریکٹر پروجیکٹس گلیات ڈوپلمنٹ اتھارٹی بابر حنان، ایڈیشنل اسسٹنٹ کمشنر گلیات طارق خان، ڈی ایس پی گلیات، ڈویژنل فارسٹ آفیسر گلیات اور کائٹ سمیت دیگر متعلقہ افسران بھی ان کے ہمراہ موجود تھے۔دورے کے دوران جی ڈی اے ، سی اینڈ ڈبلیو ، کائٹ حکام کی جانب سے ٹھنڈیانی روڈ پراجیکٹ پر بریفنگ دی گئی، جس میں منصوبے کی پیش رفت اور آئندہ کے مراحل سے آگاہ کیا گیا۔ بعد ازاں وزیرِ خزانہ نے فیلڈ وزٹ کے ذریعے جاری کام کا معائنہ بھی کیا۔
وفد نے انٹیگریٹڈ ٹورازم زون (ITZ) ٹھنڈیانی کا بھی دورہ کیا اور وہاں جاری ترقیاتی سرگرمیوں کا جائزہ لیا۔
اس موقع پر وزیرِ خزانہ نے متعلقہ اداروں کو ہدایت جاری کی کہ منصوبے کو مقررہ مدت کے اندر مکمل کیا جائے اور تعمیراتی معیار کو عالمی سطح کے مطابق یقینی بنایا جائے تاکہ علاقے میں سیاحت کو فروغ مل سکے۔

In line with GDA’s vision of a Clean and Green Galiyat, daily cleanliness activities are being carried out across the region. Sanitation staff are actively collecting waste from roads, trenches, trekking routes, and tourist attraction points to ensure Galiyat remains clean, environmentally preserved, and welcoming for visitors.

On the directions of the Provincial Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and in line with the Good Governance Roadmap of KP, the Galiyat Development Authority (GDA) technical staff initiated inspections across Galiyat, starting from Nathiagali.

During the inspection, sewerage lines and septic tanks of all hotels were thoroughly examined. Sanitation inspectors checked whether septic tanks were constructed or not, and assessed their condition—ensuring they were properly maintained, not overflowing, and adequately covered. The sewerage lines were also inspected to identify any damages or repair requirements.

Notices were issued to hotels in cases of violations, including broken sewerage lines, absence of septic tanks, or improper maintenance of existing systems. Strict instructions were given to hotel owners to ensure compliance with environmental and sanitation standards.

GDA conducts such inspections regularly every year, and this year’s inspection drive has commenced in Galiyat and will continue across the entire region.

GDA has further directed all hotel owners to preserve the natural beauty of Galiyat, avoid any environmental damage, and ensure the area remains clean, green, and welcoming for tourists.
